Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good value Very reasonable balusters. I actually ended up cutting the top off and recessing it within the handrail. The bottom is hidden under the carpet and a base shoe. The occasional paint imperfections on them, but overall decent and look good.

Two questions: (1) Are the top brackets on these variable angle, or do I need to cut them off and recess into the handrail for stepped sections? (2) Is the shape of this baluster squared or cylindrical?

Asked by: Jeff
The top is on an angle to accommodate for steps and the posts are square shaped!  I used these and they look great

Hi, is the angled portion adjustable for staircases with different slopes? If not, what is the angle? Thank you.

Asked by: nicknameless
Thank you for your inquiry, nicknameless. The forge wrought iron matte black pain stair balusters is not adjustable for different slopes. The angle is 40 degrees.

can these be cut easily? they are too long for my current handrail. I would cut the top and insert them into the hole on the underside of my handrail. my current spindles are wood, and inserted into the handrail (no angled brackets) but shorter

Asked by: karen
Thank you for your inquiry, karen. These Forge Wrought Iron Matte Black Plain Stair Baluster can be cut easily. A mitre saw or radial saw can be used with a saw blade made specifically for cutting steel. A general purpose saw blade may be used but will become dull quicker. It is recommended to use a saw blade with many teeth (80 or more) to achieve a smoother edge.
