Love both the aesthetic and the extra large capacity of these rain barrels! Set up was fairly easy. All fittings were provided. I have two - one overflows into the other. I set them on stands made of 8x16x8 cinder blocks with 24x24x2 pavers top and bottom, for a total height of 20 inches to facilitate using the water. The planter was not particularly useful as it fills with water, so I drilled holes in the planter basin.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Eco Cascata 65 gallon rain barrel This barrel seems to sweat and leak and the hose attachment orafice was easily stripped. We had bought the ecocascata 65 gallon terra cotta barrel in April through another source and are much more happy with this first barrel. There definitely a quality difference of this charcoal-stone barrel that don't meet the expecation we had with our original one.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from False colour I retuned mine (brown) and I never tried it out. The colour you see on the manufacturer's website has been Photoshoped to appear very dark and attractive. You also don't see the obvious seam lines on the website. Mine was nowhere near that colour. The real one also two colours in it, a very drab brown and black. Mine was also heavily scratched in a large area. The nice thing about it is that the faucet is high enough for a watering can to fit under it (about 11 inches).

The faucets do not push water thru hoses and only a small stream of water pushes thru spigots. They are all full and I have tried several hoses to get water out of them to water garden and beds

I know there is another one that is named taupe, and it really is light taupe. This "brownstone" is a darker taupe. It's nice, but it's not brown.

Does a standard hDoes a standard garden hose connect to the overflow?

The overflows are actually blocked off tubes with no threads at all. I created a custom piece to connect the overflow tube to the tube from the downspout diverter.

Hi Car, Yes, there are 2 overflow spouts at the back of the barrel. To link 2 Ecocascata's together you would open 1 of the overflows and connect it with a 1.5" tube to the other rain barrel overflow. This way, when the first rain barrel is full, the overflo water will start filling you second barrel. Thank you, Team Algreen

Does this need to be winterized? It says it is able to withstand 'extreme temperatures'.

Hi, This rain barrel can stay outside all year. It does need to have the bottom drain left open along with the spigot so water does not accumulate and freeze. Alternatively you can turn it upside down so no water gets in. Thank you, Chris@TeamAlgreen
