Rated 4 out of 5 by from So easy to install I used this product in front of one of my clean assembly benches to create a nice, clean workspace for finished projects. It was super easy to lay down. So nice to not deal with glue or tongue and groove. Very easy to pull back up and realign if you don't get it quite right. It installed easily using only a utility knife and square. Cuts like butter. To be honest, it cuts so easily that I wonder about its long term durability. It will also be interesting over time to see how the adhesion of the planks holds up to the substrate. For now I'm a happy camper. Time will tell on how it holds up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy weekend project with great results! As a contractor who is used to installing flooring that requires special tools or materials and extra prep work, this was a very quick and easy installation. It can be put over existing flooring with a good cleaning being the only prep needed. I installed this product in a kitchen over an old and worn click-lock product. Although the instructions say that cuts can be made with a utility knife, I found that using a chop saw with a fine-tooth blade allowed for more precise cuts, especially around hard-to-fit areas. I like how the peel and stick backing stays on when the product is cut, making it easy to dry-fit the flooring before sticking it in place. This product is easy to use, quick to install, and a good way for the weekend DIY'er to update an existing floor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Durable and easy to install. We installed this vinyl flooring in a small area of my basement. The area gets a lot of traffic from my dog as this is where her crate sits. I was worried about the crate scratching or my dogs nails marking it, but it hasn’t made a mark yet. The flooring is easy to install, it cuts easily, sticks very quickly (and well), and the seams line up nice and flush. It stuck right to the basement floor and is a huge improvement to the look without spending a fortune on new flooring. It’s washable as well which was a key feature for us with the dog. It’s so durable and the gray wood grain is neutral and modern. I’m so happy we chose this one and would use it again in any high traffic areas.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing floor, easy installation My husband and I completed a 225 sq ft project in approx 6 hours with breaks. This flooring goes down super easy, and looks stunning. To get the best out of your install, my recos are: use a sharp utility knife and a carpenter square to score floor, and rent a 100lb tile roller for a few hours when you’re done. It’ll really help the product bond. We installed this right over a cheap sheet vinyl. Basement, side door and front door area all look like a million bucks. This floor looks pretty yellow in the store, but in my house looks like a beautiful white oak.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fanastic flooring option This is a fantastic product as a flooring option either in your home or as an option as a contractor. I am impressed with the peel and stick option. I have used the same type of product in the past as a gravity floor in some bathroom renos i've done. I find the gravity floors tend to separate at the seems. With the peel and stick on this product It ensures your floor will stay together well. It was easy to lay down following the manufactures instructions. It is made from highly durable long lasting material good for any room application.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy Install I am a contractor, so I have installed many floors. My customer wanted these planks installed in her front entry closet. The product was easy to install, and the edging came together almost seamlessly. I did have to re-position one piece, but it was easily done, and the adhesive was still strong after I laid it a second time. In the end, I think it a great product, but more importantly, my customer is happy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent, But lots prep work if replacing carpet Pros: Good price, Looks great, good scratch protection, easiest to cut and install planks, Sticks good, No gaps, Easy to replace planks! probably the best upside, Don't have to remove baseboards. Don't have to use dangerous saw. Cons: If replacing carpet you have to do a lot of prep work for this product to stick really good, this involves sanding the carpet glue off, It's a disgusting time consuming process. I don't think this would be as necessary with hardwood/laminate. So I don't think I saved a ton of time. You might have to nail your sub floor plywood down if there are bumps. Even spending a lot of time sanding and nailing things down, you might have some bumps underneath the floor you can feel when walking. The product is very very thin, so you might have a height difference on transitions up to rooms like your bathroom.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This flooring is worth the second look I received this flooring a little over a month ago. I was very skeptical because I am not a fan of adhesive type flooring. I decided to put it in an entry way of an apartment unit I am renovating, I laid It down on a plywood floor and it went down really easy. It is basically peel and stick flooring. It lays down really nice. All I needed was a tape measure, carpenter knife and a speed square to lay it down. The flooring goes down fast and to cut all you need to do is score the flooring and then snap it along the line which happened perfectly everything for me and it made this floorinf go down in a snap,Literally. So sine I have put it down we have been walking on it constantly because of renovations and have had no problems with Marking or scratching the floor. Every piece is exactly where I laid it. I made sure I had a clean preped surface ready for flooring and I believe it shows. I was not o A fan of this type of flooring but bit I have change my opinion because of this. This flooring is worth the second look especially when I normally wouldn't have given it a first look but now I will.

Does the Allure Contact San Mateo Gray 6-inch x 36-inch Luxury Vinyl Plank Flooring need or should be rolled with a 100 pound roller during or after installation

Asked by: Dennis
I didn’t find rolling was necessary. Certainly wouldn’t do any harm though.

How is it removed? Looking to put it in my rental but worried I won’t be able to get it off when the time comes to leave

Asked by: Gabslogan
If you want to put it down and remove it immediately to correct a mistake that is fine, but if you leave it in place for a long time, and then remove it, the adhesive will delaminate and you will have a gluey reside to contend with. I would not recommend it for your purposes. Use an area rug instead.

Can the Allure Vinyl plank be installed over tiles that have come a bit loose, if they are level and there are no moisture issues?

Asked by: Marge
Thank you for your question- Must be level to within ¼" in a 10ft. (6mm in a 3m) span; no bumps or low spots. Subfloors should not slope more than 1" per 6ft. (25mm per 1.8m). Must be clean: no construction debris, soil, mud or any other objects on or adhering to the floor; if necessary, scrape and sweep away before the installation; no protrusions of nails, debris, or metals should remain. Must be free from moisture-related conditions that can damage the installed flooring. Be structurally sound without bounce or movement.

I have a Strata requirement of a sound rating IIC-STC 62. Does the attached underlayment meet this? Thanks!

Asked by: Taylor
Thank you for your question- The product is rated by the assembly of the concrete slab-It does not meet the rating on 6-inch or 8-inch concrete slabs. If installing over 6-inch concrete slab with a drop-ceiling, the rating for that are STC-61 and IIC-64.
