Rated 3 out of 5 by Frank F from Gutter leaf guard Keeps leaves out as intended. Material collapses into the gutter if a stick lands on it where the unsupported seams over lap and don't line up with gutter ties. It is very easy to bend. You could use a dab of silicone or a screw to add support. Also the convex shape makes a valley at the edge of shingles and soffit, this may create a trap for leaves and sticks. Water and snow rolling back toward the house could be another issue but I will know shortly. Flat stainless steel sections with the rubber water guard on the house side is far superior and stronger.

Rated 5 out of 5 by David M from Alu-Rex basic is an excellent product BUT... Alu-Rex basic is an excellent product BUT... Like virtually any eaves protection scheme it relies on your roofer and eaves installer to have done their jobs correctly. Sadly this is often not the case. If your shingles don't hang into your eavestroughs and don't extend more then about 2 cm over the eaves, you can probably install these very quickly and according to the directions. If you have shingles that extend further than 2cm into the eaves you may have to get creative to get these in (in such a way as to have them function correctly). If you install them according to the directions on a steep roof or a roof where the shingle hangs well into the eave, you should test by spraying a hose above the first piece you install to see if the water runs through it correctly (this isn't something you want to figure out after doing the whole roof). Often in the situations I describe you will find that water tries to flow over the product instead of through it. Again, this is not the fault of the product. This product can still be used there but it takes a little work and may require bending the product along it's length or installing it upside down. The more expensive flat product from Alu-Rex is better in almost all situations, but where this one works it does a good job for a very reasonable price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Toad Tickeler from Good medium gutter protection Provides good medium gutter protection. A 20ft. roll comes as 4-5ft pieces that make it easier to handle. The instructions did not call for this but I put 1/8x1/8 aluminium pop rivets at the seams and in the corners. It works well with leaves and sticks but pine needles get stuck in the little holes.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Brigitte from Gutter Guard. Reasonably priced and was easy to install and so far works great, however, winter just started. I am hoping it will help with ice buildup so we shall see. I will update review in spring if I remember.
