Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Faucet! I bought three of these faucets about a month ago; two in chrome and one in the brushed finish. Both are beautiful and and work great. I really like the clean design without appearing too modern.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Two faucets, two fails I bought two of these faucets at the same time, although it was a while ago, I did not expect them both to break the same way. In each case the lever in the rear, which lowered the stopper to plug the sink, broke off. The result is that we can't pool the water in either sink and we cannot control the plug. There are just two of us for the two bathrooms and the lever was used very infrequently. So we are at a loss why both levers broke.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Fauccet I purchased and installed three Berwick Faucets after having new granite vanity tops installed. Faucet installation is really straightforward and easy. The method it uses to mount requires only a 9/16" open end wrench, which also fits the included and attached water lines. The attached water lines are a big help although they would seem to be quite a bit longer than necessary. Connecting the lift-to-close drain is very easy as well. Overall, the installation was easy. A few things I did run into: Mounting the drain is different than other drains I've installed. Instead of using plumbers putty, the drain is sealed with a foam washer on top and a thick rubber washer underneath. The instructions say to "tighten firmly". I was afraid to over tighten and had a leak, so I had to re-tighten. I probably would use plumbers putty if I had to do it again. Also, the faucet came with a unique aerator; instead of a "foamy stream", it was a spray, like a small shower head. While cool looking, the flow rate was only 0.5 gallons per minute which was not enough to trigger the flow detector on my tankless water heater which required 0.6 gpm. I then purchased American Standard 1.0 gpm aerators (15/16" - M922991-0021A) and they triggered the flow of hot water, but even at 1.0 gpm it took a long time to get hot water to the faucet. I ended up buying 2 gpm American Standard aerators (15/16" A922869-0020A) and they have a really good flow. My thinking is, if you want to save water, turn down the flow. The documentation led me to believe that the flow was 1.2 gpm, default. So, not really too happy about having to purchase the additional aerators, but everything is OK now. You'll also need a good sized pair of Channel Lock pliers for the nut on the drain.

Faucet has a solid, I purchased this with a matching shower fixture in Sep 2015. Fast forward 18 months and there is green gunk showing all around the base of the handle. To add to my dissatisfaction, there is a mirror installed behind the faucet above a 4 inch backsplash and you can see all of his green crusty build up in the mirror. I live in a hard water area, so some build up is expected, but this is not what I expect from a $200+ faucet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality faucet perfect for small sink Very satisfied with purchase. Works perfectly with small pedestal sink. Great price as usual from Home Depot online. American Standard markets this as one of their easy install faucets which proved to be true.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Design This was a joy to install. The need for no plumbers puddy was a shock, but I am glad that AS has chosen to phase-out plumber's puddy in their installation product. The thick washer/ gasket work well and the instructions were clear and easily understood. The pull cable design to trap water in the bowl was a good design offering. The linkage used in previous faucet designs was a hassle to install and to properly set. Thank you AS. Good design. I'll recommnend this product to friends as and family.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Typical American Standard Quality and good looks. Modern but functional. Paired with stone counter. Bought three of them ... two for a double-bowl bath and one for another bath.

I have two Berwick faucets "Model7430.101" for 18months. One started leaking around the handle. I opened it up. There are three o-rings. Two light blue at the bottom and one larger around the inside part. What should I replace to eliminate the leak?

Asked by: PEM1952
It sounds as though you are describing the seals on the cartridge. It should be replaced, its part number is M951472-0070A.

Does this model work good for Commercial bathrooms, such as bathrooms that would be in churches or small office and be used daily? Or is this faucet more for residential (home) bathrooms?

Asked by: Kay A
This faucet can be used in residential or commercial settings, it is good both types of installations

What is the clearance distance from the center of this faucet to the backsplash? How much clearance to use the drain handle?

Asked by: Jack1234
It looks as though the lift rod will extend about an inch behind the body so I would think that a 2" minimum would be very close.

We have the Berwick single handle faucet. Installed within last 12 months. Today the handle will not swivel to hot water position. Seems jammed. What is the fix?

It sounds like the cartridge may be frozen. Please contact our customer care line at 800-442-1902 for assistance.

I am trying to rehook the cable assembly to the drain unit. I cannot get the lever to open and close the drain. I have retried it several times, thinking all is lined up properly but it will not make the drain stop go up and down

Asked by: AFSlll
Please contact our customer care line at 800-442-1902 for assistance. If the loop on your stopper is broken you would need a new one.

What products does American standard recommend to clean chrome lav. faucet?

Asked by: Anonymous
Your faucet generally does not require any cleaning products, simply dry with a clean cloth. You could use a white vinegar solution to remove any calcium deposits.

My vanity top does not have a built in overflow drain. Is there a part that will block the drain holes in the pop-up drain?

Asked by: Anonymous
For vanities that do not have an overflow hole, I would suggest a grid drain...http://americanstandardpro.com/searchResults.aspx?k=2411
