Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bathtub It is exactly what we were looking for. It is comfortable and clean looking. Easy to clean. Perfect with white subway tiles above it!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not White Went to purchase this tub for a traditional look bathroom renovation. The white subway tiles clearly do not match this White Irregular Cadet tub. Is that why you have named it Irregular? Do you still make White Cadet tubs that are white?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Old Faithful With all the reviews on more expensive tubs mot really favorable I decide just to put this old faithful true metal tub Had this i stalled about 3 weeks now Cleans right up without an issue I am happy overall and the price point its just stupid low for the quality I see. Never installing a fiberglass tub again To much cleaning maintenance needed

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good quality It's a good quality 'typical' bathtub. No issues.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from You get what you pay for When they glued the box shut, the glue got all over the front of the tub. There was a chip in the enamel on 2 of the corners and random cut outs in the corners that made it hard to ensure it was sealed properly from water.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad choice I bought this tub in 2016 as part of an entire bathroom Reno. Shortly after the install I noticed little “spider veins” forming on the bottom of the tub near the drain. In 2017 it started to rust around drain. Our contractor removed the drain assembly and patched it up and put in a new drain...it has started to rust again. The worst problem is that the water accumulates in front of the drain where there is a dip and has stained the tub. The stain is also not just a stain but is etched into the tub. See the photo. I figure that eventually I will have no choice but to engage bathfitters to install over top since removing the tub would destroy all the tiles. Very disappointed

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bent in multiple places Most of the cadet tub boxes looked pretty beat up so we pick one out that had no external damage. When we got home we opened the box and the tub was badly bent in multiple places.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed. Tub came with a chip in the enamel.

we bought this tub and find it is very slippery. Have tried 2 different bath mats and several non slip adhesive strips that all come off and /or causing slipping when standing on. Is there some special product that is used to adhere non slip products ?

Asked by: Patti c
No tried everything myself and had the same issue.  Finally bought a vinyl tub mat with deep suction cups at home sense, placed In tub when wet, had to press each suction cup down individually and this seems to be working.  Good luck.  These tubs are extremely slippery.....

Why is it called "irregular" when right-handed drain is selected, and "rectangular" when left-handed drain is selected? Is this a typo/autocorrect or is there something odd about the right-handed drain selection?

Asked by: Kiki
Hi Kiki, The Cadet 5ft Alcove Enamel Steel Bathtub is available in both right and left drain outlets. We will seek to have the word "irregular" removed from the description as this is an error. Your American Standard Customer Care Team, Kim

what is the distance from the drain to the centre of the overflow?

Asked by: Gord
If you're looking for water depth, 10.5 to 11 inches (27 to 30 cm) (not sure because the actual overflow hole is hidden behind the cover). If you're looking for the length of the plumbing pipes, I don't know.

Where a strip of styrofoam was glued to the edge of my steel tub for shipping, there is a residue of glue and styrofoam. I asked at the store how to remove it and they said it should just peel off, but it doesn't. What should I use?

Asked by: Cally Jackson
Packaging foam usually just peels off, rubbing alcohol should take off any residual glue. This product has a sound proofing Styrofoam pad on the bottom of the tub that should not be removed. Should you have additional questions please call toll free American Standard Customer Care 1-800-387-0369

I'm trying to mark the exact location of the drain. it's 15" from the sides, how many inches from the end? I'm guessing around 9". I need to determine if my existing drain pipe needs to be moved if I replace the existing 60"x30" tub with this one.
