Rated 5 out of 5 by from High Quality Modern Toilet Seat I absolutely love this toilet seat- I did a lot of research before purchasing and it exceeded all of my expectations! It looks modern and sleek. It also feels sturdy and high quality for the price. I love the look and function of the flat top lid and how when the lid is closed it hides the toilet seat. The soft close feature is a bit slow (as previously noted in another review) but it is better than having a seat that slams down to shut. It was also fairly easy and straight forward to install- the instruction manual was clear, and all of the hardware was provided. The only issue I came across was that the rubber plug was a bit difficult to push into my toilet's small holes (it is a different brand and is not American Standard which may be the issue). However, once installed the toilet seat felt super secure due to the high quality metal screws, rubber plugs and additional rubber hinge gaskets (which my old and cheap toilet seat did not have - it only had plastic parts). Overall, I HIGHLY recommend this American Standard toilet seat to upgrade an old and breaking toilet seat for a decently cheap price- I even got it on sale which was an added bonus! Shipping was also pretty quick which was much appreciated during this time!

The seat surface itself has very little flat area for sitting on, the outer edge is a high point and it immediately begins to fall toward the center. The cover has a thin plastic edge that is uncomfortable if one leans back on it. Haven't had it long but I'm not optimistic. For all that I'm surprised how much it costs!

When you go to sit down the water moisture is on the seat. The seat isn't very comfortable to sit on as the seat grooves in towards the center of the toilet.

It stained no matter what. I guess having well water, causes this. I cleaned every week and before guests coming over, and it always looked disgustingly dirty! This seat is very sharper looking and works great! NOTE: I had to reuse my bolts from old toilet as it does not come with nuts.

Will this toilet seat work on a Glacier bay round toilet?

Hello JohnDeer, We do not test our products with other manufacturer's products. We only check compatability of our products with our products. Therefore I am unable to confirm if this will work or not. Keep in mind this is a top mount seat. So if you have access to the bolts underneath on that toilet, chances are, this will not work. Does this toilet seat just click on to the existing hinges? I have an American standard I think studio brand where the seat snaps on and theres a button on the underside of seat that you push to take off the seat.

Hi Scronik, The Champion RF Slow Close seat will not work with a Studio toilet bowl. The Champion seat requires access to the seat bolts from underneath to tighten them that your Studio bowl does not offer. Your American Standard Customer Care Team, Kim C

Hard to tell by the specs if this is to replace a 16.5in seat or if it's something smaller. Standard seat sizes are 16.5 and 18.5 this one is neither or is it? hard to tell by the description.
