Rated 5 out of 5 by from perfect for it's advertised purpose This was a very nice rain showerhead and you will be pleased with it if you are shopping for a rain shower. Keep in mind the key word is "rain." As in it creates a wide envelope of water falling on you like rain would. If you were to install it in place of a regular showerhead needing it to spray somewhat sideways and down, this may not be the ideal head for you. Not enough pressure to spray out very far at all. But again if you mount it where it points straight down and simply want water falling like rain, this is a very nice showerhead. Highly recommend for that purpose!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ultra Heavy I thought the other guy who said he rigged some support device was a little excessive until I actually held this thing. Its super heavy! When I put it on the shower arm it pulled excessively - even more with water in it. Its a nice rain shower head, but I can see it having major issues down the road. We bought this and the 8" head to see which we would prefer. Both heads leaked water around the connection to the arm - we used tape and even tightened it up as much as possible. If this was only $40 or $50 bucks I could possibly justify the risk of it rusting out in a year, but not at this price. Took them both back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rain Drops Keep Fallin On My Head What can I say. Style, elegance, If I was a 5 star chef, and this shower head was food. Well, it would get 5 stars. The water doesn't even feel like water. Takes a little time getting use to at first. The feeling of the water that is :-) Very relaxing, I feel like I'm in a fancy hotel shower when ever I wash up under this thing. It's so choice, I highly suggest this purchase period.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Rain shower head with rain drip I was hoping for the look of the rain shower head without the pressure of the rain shower head (it is a DRIP, not a soak). I am giving it a 4 because it's probably a perfectly great shower head and it looked fantastic - it was just not what I had wanted. Important for the people looking it up to realize it's going to have poor pressure unless you take out the valve and make it come out at 4 gallons a minute (which is crazy wasteful!).

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Brass construction, not plastic Disappointed, shower sounds like 100,000 mosquitoes when showering. I have another older model with no sound but the rain sound, just cannot get parts for this older 10" model. Water comes out in needle streams rather than rain drops. And cleaning this unit will not be easy. In the old model you can disassemble with one screw being removed.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Drips Mounted as a rain shower. Not a good idea: The water conversing design causes it to hold water in the shower head after it is turned off. The next person to take a bath will have the shower drip on them even though it is off. The air pressure in the pipe during a bath causes the shower head to have pressure on top of the water in the shower head and it drips until all the water is out. I think all the new water conserving heads will do this when mounted as a rain shower but because of it's size this one is especially bad.

It's exactly what I was looking for and works great - my wife loves it. I was worried it was going to be cheaply constructed but it's a pretty solid piece of hardware. I highly recommend it.

can this be wall mounted?

I would not... at 10" the water does not come out of this showerhead with any force. You really need to be standing under the showerhead.... so if you can stand under the wall mounted showerhead give it a try, otherwise I would find another.

You can use equal parts of distilled vinegar and water and soak the showerhead in it. This will remove all of the calcium buildup. Then just rinse.

A rain showerhead can be mounted on a wall using a right angle shower arm, such as American Standard's right angle shower arm (1660.194) and shepherd's crook (1660.198). Both shower arms can be ordered online or through special order at your local Home Depot.
