Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product! This product is spectacular! It takes quite a bit of time for the hot water to reach the other side of my home that was built in 1966. The shower head has a great low flow feature (as do a lot of shower heads), but the spinner inside really makes it feel as if you have more than enough pressure to complete your shower. My only complaint would be that I may never have to use the higher flows. I thought perhaps I might use for rinsing my hair, but it wasn't necessary. However, if you do use the higher flow the quick return to low flow works like a charm. My husband even commented on how nice it was to have extra pressure from a low flow shower head. Shipping was super quick and it is well worth the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great showerhead I was so impressed with this sowerhead that I purchased one for each of my sons.I called it my "green" gift. The water presure in my neighbor hood is sufficent, but not very strong. This AS showerhead makes it seem that I live under the water tower.We have not had the showerhead long enough to see any effect on our water bill, but the great showers are worth the cost.The only complaint we have heard is my son , who is 6'4" said he was hitting his head on the bigger sized head. I am sure he has adapted. We love our AS showerhead and think it was a great buy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice spray patterns, easy to install. As with most purchases like this, I hit up Consumer Reports to see which brands and models to consider. Having had previous experience with American Standard, I was glad to see them in the top group of ratings. Ordering online was easy (wasn't available in my local store) and the shipping was quick. Installing it was as simple as removing the hand-held shower I was replacing, cleaning off the threads, wrapping some silicone tape around the clean threads and screwing the new shower head on. The new shower head works well. Three spray patterns to pick from. I found one to be to my liking.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Flowise shower head I bought 2 of these shower heads, one for each shower. the shower head has 3 settings, 1.5, 1.8 and 2.0 gpm. I prefer the second setting, 1.8 gpm. The 1.5 is very sharp. One thing I did not expect is that the setting does not stay at what you set it, it always resets itself back to the 1.5 setting, so you need to change it for each shower. The 1.8 is pretty close to the feel of my previous shower head. One other item, there are no installation instructions that comes with the product. We have the HD home improvement book so this was not a problem but we still have a slight leak at the installation point. We installed initially with just plumbers tape - then we tried further tightening and added an o-ring and still have the leak. Any thoughts about how to solve are appreciated

This head doesn't feel like a low flow at all, and it automatically resets to the most water efficient setting. Ended up buying six of them and they are working great!

I didn't notice any difference in performance between this one and my old waterpix which put out at least 2 gal per min. I did not have any issues with rinsing or stinging, mentioned in reviews of other brands. What I liked most about this one, is you always have the option to select 2 higher flow rates. This should keep everyone in the family happy and increase the likelyhood that you will save both water and money.

We wanted to conserve water, but we didn't want to give up the luxury of a forceful spray. After shopping at length, and searching for whatever consumer reviews I could find, I purchased this American Standard replacement shower head from HomeDepot.com, and so far it has fully met our expectations. It was easy to install, and its design is very attractive. It is easily adjusted to a full-force spray for rinsing shampoo out of thick hair and automatically reverts to the water-saver setting when you turn the water off. I'm looking forward to our next water bill to see how much reduction in volume we've achieved so far. I plan to purchase another one for the shower in our kids' bathroom, where our teenagers are notorious for taking lengthy showers.

We installed (easy installation!) them one week ago ~ so far we love them! Any of the 3 settings (1st setting is 1.5 gpm and the other 2 are both 2.0 gpm ~ per the American Standard website) work well depending on your preference. We don't feel as though our showers are being sacrificed. Another plus ~ it was recommended by Consumer Reports. Looking forward to saving money on our water bills!

you need a pressure balane or thermostic mixing valve. All american standard shower valves will be one or other and prevent scalding.

Do I just screw it on or do I need to any accessories to install it?

I suggest applying a layer of typical plumbing pipe tape (thin teflon) or a small amount of pipe putty to help provide a good seal when attaching the head to the pipe. Also, something like a small to medium crescent wrench will be useful to help in tightening the head to the pipe. There is a small flat area on the nipple that attaches the showerhead to the pipe for the wrench to clamp to.

I've had low-flow shower heads where the spray comes out in an outer ring, with no water coming from the center of the shower head. Is the turbine setting a full spray?

This shower head has three settings as listed below: 1. The first setting is the center spray is 1.5 GPM and does spray nicely. 2. The second setting is 2.0 GPM which has the center spray and the outer spray. 3. The third settings is 2.0 GPM and sprays the outer ring only. This setting really penetrates the scalp. Additionally, unlike other low-flow shower heads I have used this product is silent.
