There is no index cap or handle screw. The handle is one piece. The handles wiggle a bit and I do not know how to fix them. Otherwise the faucet is fine.

Hampton bathroom faucet was leaking a steady stream of water. Removed cartridge and inspected it. It looked ok. I reinstalled the cartridge and turned the water back on below and now get a full stream of water whether handle is off or on. Ideas?

I am trying to replace the hampton cartridge but I can't remove the handle base or unscrew the attachment nut from underneath. I;ve already used W40 but nothing happens. What cam I do?. Thx

Asked by: Nik 1
Dear Nik1, Try to pour some white vinegar around the base and let it sit for a while. Sometimes when the faucet is corroded it will eat away that corrosion and allow you to remove it. Sincerely, AS Customer Care Tech Team

I have a 7881.732.295 faucet that drips. I would like to replace the cartridge. I cannot remove the handle. When I remove the top cap, there is no screw - only 3 star shaped grooves and a hole. Handle parts look different than online diagrams.

I have the Hampton 8in. 2-handle low-arc bathroom faucet. About 15 years old. The handles become too close to the back-splash and I can't turn the water off. I have to turn the water off under the sink. What to do?

Asked by: Sharron V
It is possible that the adapter is beginning to strip. Please contact our customer care line at 800-442-1902 for parts assistance.

I have replaced the 916503-YYY0A LEVER HANDLE BASE,060353-YYY0A PORCELAIN LEVER HANDLE, and 918428-0070A HANDLE SCREW. However, the handle spins 180 degrees, and the water doesn't flow when turned perpendicular. How do I stop from spinning too far?

trying to replace the hampton cartridge but I can not remove the handle base or unscrew the attachment nut from underneath

Asked by: styeh32
They would thread off. If you can't get them off it may be due to corrosion from the water. You may want to use either WD40 or white vinegar around them. Only use the WD40 if you are going to change the cartridge out as it will ruin the seals.
