I have had this trim kit for 19 months now and it still works just as good as the day it was installed. I know there is some plastic in it but it is still a strong sturdy material. I'm happy with it.

Hampton chrome handle

I have the chrome Hampton trim kit with porcelain handle as depicted in the photo. My bathroom sink has porcelain handles too. I'm sure you can get the handles in chrome also for shower and sink both. The sink faucet will be a different brand though.

As long as it is the same shower and the escutcheon screws are in the 10-5 position you would just need to replace the trim.

My existing valve trim from the previous owner is a cheap-looking plastic one without brand. How can I know what kind of valve model or size ?

If it is ours it will have our name on the escutcheon plate. If you remove the plate and take a picture of the cartridge and send in to us we can tell you what valve you have.
