Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Standing Ovation for the Ovation tub surround I read all the other reviews before purchaseing ghis product,but it was the look and the size of the shelves that sold me on it. I installed it according to the instructions, and although I did not get it perfectly square it will only be noticeable to the most discerning eye!

I've read this needs to be installed over OSB (prone to water damage & mould) but not the reason why is MUST be OSB. Our current walls are plaster over 3/8" GWB. that has been there for 70 years and to my mind a much superior substrate.

Can this be mounted/glued to drywall/sheetrock or does it have to be OSB board?
