Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great look and works..... Initially. We bought the rain shower head and hand held combo. The plastic hose included was less than satisfactory. So, we bought the separate metal hose. The system worked great for about 2 months. We even bought a second one for another shower. then, the silicone ring, used to help the suction cup stick to our tile wall, to hold the bar in place, stopped working and the bar no longer stays attached. They don't have replacement parts for this. Advertising that the bar will stick to any surface using the parts included, should tell you, "only for a little while". We have not been able to find anything that will work with this set. We will not be buying anything made by this manufacturer again. What a shame.

It cracked after about a year and we've treated it as very fragile but today it finally broke in half. I hope I can get a replacement for the one part.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I love the hanheld feature It looks nice - and the finish is just as nice as the day I got it. Only problem so far is the Hand Shower Holder cracked and won't hold the shower head. They don't carry any replacement parts for this product, so I had to get one from a different brand. The finish doesn't match but at least it holds my showerhead up.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice looking useful product but poor support I  really liked using this product but the clip for the handheld broke as it is just plastic and American Standard does not make the replacement part available for purchase. This appears to be planned obsolescence. I will change manufacturer's in order to protest this policy.

I'm installing a T555.528.295 unit and want to add a 1660.628.295 hand held what valve body do I need?

You will need a R120 valve for the trim kit and a R420 two diverter to divert the water to the handheld.

what valve is recommended for this showet kit

It is according to what trim you want to use. You would either need a R111 or R121 rough in valve to work with the trim and then the wall supply and hose will hook up to that.

We have this hand shower kit A112-1B-1M 2.5 GPM Max along side the standard shower head A112-18-1M 95 LMN 2-5GPM Max in a walk in shower stall. We cannot get our hand held shower head to work. How do we get the water to that line? Thank you for your help.

The use of these two units seperately require the use of either a R420 inwall diverter of the 1660.410 Shower arm diverter.

These are three people that had an issue with their showerhead and if it was the fault of American Standard we would have corrected it if they would have called us. For the thousands that we sell there is no quality issue with them.

I didn't realize our hand shower was "rain." Is there any way to modify it so we get greater flow?

There is no way to change the rain function on the shower head and the pressure of the faucet comes from the water pressure that comes from your water lines.

I'd like to add a handshower to an existing Hampton 3 handle shower and tub faucet installation. Do you have a suggestion for a compatible kit. It would require a shower arm diverter because rough-in plumbing is finished. THoughts?

If it is not desirable to install an inwall diverter, a 1660.410 shower arm diverter will be required. you may also want to consider a 8888.036 fixed wall bracket to hold the hand shower when not in use.
