Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good looking, quality not so good Overall nice looking although the tub faucet is awkwardly proportioned. After 5 short years, the tub spout diverter has stopped working. I called today and this is not covered by warranty - price to replace? $150!!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Love the look, but wish it were more durable We bought several sets for the bathrooms in our house and they all look great. However, after just 2 years of minimal (guests only) use, the handle screw on one of our showers bit all the way through the lever handle, causing the handle to come off anytime someone grabs it to turn the shower on. Now we're having to special order and replace the parts in the handle. I love the Town Square set, but it's a shame it carries such an elementary design flaw.

The spout no longer diverts the water from the spout to the shower head. There is an issue as to whether the spout needs to be completely replaced or is there a kit for the diverter? Does it screw off or pull off. Purchased in 2008

Asked by: Joe46
There is no kit for the diverter on this particular tub spout. You would need to get the whole spout. It is a slip on. It does not thread on.

I am trying to replace a Town Square tub spout with diverter, but the old version was a screw on and the new one is slip on.  I've taken it to hardware stores because the pipe coming out of the wall does not fit in the plastic part of the spout.

On the shower head there is a plastic connector that attaches the shower head itself to the "ball" that allows it to swivel (I'm sorry for the lack of technical terms).  The plastic connector has broken.  Am I able to buy this plastic connector part?

Does the American Standard T555.501.002 Town Square Single Handle Shower Trim Kit have exposed screws on the square trim behind the handle? Liking everything but the screws showing? Can you verify this for me?

Asked by: Robby
The screws that hold the escutcheon in place are visible

will this model trim work with an R110 valve? I'm trying to replace a defective Williamsburg trim, and have limited options that will allow me to replace the trim only without breaking into the wall of the shower/tub. Thanks.

Asked by: lamiaa
The Town Square trim will work with the R110 valve as long as the screw holes in your Williamsburg plate are in the 10-5 position as in a clock. If they are in the 10-2 position they valve in the wall will need to be changed out.
