Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible Window Seal I bought the full glass Andersen Storm door hoping it would be easy to work with. Although not bad for the installation I am rating this product low as you are supposed to be able to change from the full glass to screen easily. This is not the case and I have only done this a couple of times. The plastic seal that keeps the glass in is a horrible pain. The top seal is now gone probable fell off and blew away the side seals are now cracked and constantly are coming out in winter. I am just waiting for the whole glass to fall out. Hopefully I can buy new seals somewhere?? This door is not user friendly!!

This is a beautiful strong well made door!Having it on my garage man door has helped seal my heated garage that much more & allows daylight in a big way if i chose to open man door while keeping it warm inside .I like the "hold open" Feature which is a little lock on the inside of the door at the bottom that you can just click on with your foot if your hands are full. It does not come with a handle so remember to pick 1 up!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I am not buying Anderson doors again I'm starting to wonder about Home Depot too. They won't let you edit your review or post a new review for the same product. Therefore it sounds like the Anderson response solved my problem but it did not even come close. The 200 series door I purchased came with an OOPS-PROOF installation warranty but Anderson says misdrilled holes are not covered because they gave you a template. They don't consider that sometimes due to the current door frame characteristics the template may not apply to every scenario so after drilling to template specs we needed to redrill to make the handle work in the door frame. Oh, and I have to buy a storm door for another house this weekend; guess what, it won't be an Anderson brand door!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from no latch adjustment Good door but poor design and no latch adjustment. Summer install was easy. Winter came and the door shifted an 1/8 inch now the latch wont hold the door closed (comes loose from wind/air pressure). There is no latch adjustment. The latch has slop which makes the problem worse. Also the frame and latch angle outwards which helps it to come loose. Its a $500 door and $80 latch, tf. To adjust the latch you have to reinstall the frame section or modify the the frame to have an actual catch (the frame has no catch!). Now I know where all the failed engineers go; they design storm doors for anderson. All this could be mitigated by making the latch or catch adjustable.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Door Size I love this door look and feel. But unfortunately, my door opening height is 0.5 inch shorter, when we spent 2 hours to try to fit without success and returned. I wish the company can make the door's height can have 1-inch room adjustable. most of modern home the door sill has sloop, when you do the measurement, the instruction does not tell you the exact spot (the height) to measure. I think it should emphasize the measure spot should be at the point flash to exterior trim. Mine door sill is half inch out and will slop, I thought the 80” should be OK. The custom special order will cause you almost a couple hundred more just for 0.5-inch height fitting problem. Too bad

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to Install and Very Detailed Instructions I purchased this 3000 Series door a couple of months ago, after following the Andersen instructions for how to measure for the proper door frame size. I measured 3 or 4 times before finally ordering, as I wasn't really sure I was measuring from the correct door jamb areas. There are lots of YouTube videos on how to do the actual installation, but I didn't really need them as the instructions that came with the door were very detailed and thorough. The install went very smoothly. It did not take me 45 minutes as promised, but I wanted to make sure I got everything right, so 2.5 hrs later I was done. Turned out perfect. I love the built in retractable screen. Great product and I would order it again!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Difficult to install. Not DIY at all. We purchased this in June 2021 and in less than a month the screen became detached at the bottom. We had Home Dept recommend an installer to us since we were not comfortable doing it ourselves. He said most of his business is fixing installations that have gone wrong for homeowners. I ordered a replacement screen and Anderson assured me that I could install it myself with the instructions provided. The instructions were terrible and I would have not been able to replace this item by myself. Once the installer helped me finish the job I noticed that there was a hole in the new screen. I have already paid for the installation of this door but Anderson insists that installation is not covered in the warranty so I have to pay for help to replace all the faulty parts that have been purchased and then sent to me. Nothing but a nightmare since we purchased this crappy door from Anderson Storm doors. Home Depot is selling crappy products again.

Your emco storm doors have a problem with internal corrosion due to improper usage of material. Do these doors have the same problem? Also if a core is used what material is it?

What is the U-Factor (W/m2-K)?

wow ok, if that's the question you need answered, and it couldn't be found from the manufacturer website, than this pobably isnt the door for you! Mine was easy to install, has a snug fit with no/very little draft. Unimpreseed that the door handle was a seperate purchase but whatever, it was a 3 hundred dollar door upgrade that installed in 20 mins once the old one was removed, and is way better than the old one we had!

Does that need to have a frame for installation?

Thank you for your query. Our storm doors are designed to be installed on a wooden brick moulding. Also, a new storm door comes with all the parts, including the mounting frames such as the hinge rail, latch rail and rain cap. Please go to The Home Depot store nearest to your place to check the display doors. - Noel

Can I get a minimum sizing for the door install? My height measurement from door sill to upper exterior trim brickmould is 79.5 inches and not 80 inches. I see that your side measurement is rated at 31 7/8 to 32 3/8. Does upper also have a min and max?
