Rated 2 out of 5 by from Easy to install, but door leaks... Install was fairly straight forward, but did take 2-3 hours. I was happy with the door until the first rainfall... The door leaks pretty consistently and the problem is that the sweeps do not let the water out creating a dam! The house door threshold quickly filled up with water and water was 'pooling' to the point of coming in through the main house door. In addition, the sweep was already up as far as it would go so I had to remove the sweep to let the pool of water out. Not much point in having a storm door then. I called customer service and they said that this design 'allows a small amount of water infiltration' and there was nothing wrong with the door. Not real happy with the purchase, and you think for $500+ for a storm door at least it wouldn't be designed to let a little water in!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Handle side of the door hits the frame I've hung screen doors before, so when we needed a new one to go with our professionally installed exterior door, I looked at the video and said sure why not. This one looks super easy. So with the help of my brother, who’s a contractor, we follow the directions. Fasten the pre-attached frame, open the door and put the handle on and your 90% done. Until we try to close the door. The screws on the handle side hit the side frame. This is odd because it’s attached to the upper frame so it can’t really be adjusted over. So we drill new holes and attempt to force it over. I also filed the upper part of the door and it’s seemed to fit. Then the sun heated it up and it stuck again. So after months of dealing with Emco I still have a door that jams up if it’s really hot. Even though Emco says aluminum doesn’t expand in the heat. Thank goodness winter is coming. They tell me to move the side frame over but won’t tell me how since it’s attached to the top from the factory. So I wait to see what they come back with this time, but I am super disappointed.

We bought 2 and 1 came with a faulty lock bar (the part that keeps the door held open). The company was great and replaced the part quickly with no problem.

I like the retractable screen, makes opening it easy, and with kids/dogs they can't push through it since it's the top half of the door. The 3000 series was recommended by the installer since it has double layer of weather stripping.

The way the door closes onto the frame has been changed and is far cheaper setup.The last time i bought one it had a bracket it closed on ..This new only closes on the frame ..cheap.Wind caught it and pulled it open to easily If your in canada ,buy something else ..Cant get origanal parts here .only U.S and it is expensive

But if it’s in the budget it is worth it. The result is a far superior door. Closes beautifully and quietly. The screen mechanism is fabulous! The latch on the top of the screen is quite firm, a child could not open it, which is probably good. I would definitely buy it again.

Why is this door listed as 32 inches wide, yet in the specifications, it says assembled width is 38 inches and assembled height is 87 inches? Is that accurate or is it a typo?
