Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great door but it really slams shut when closing Overall installation was straightforward, and the door itself is high quality. My only issue is with the performance of the opener / self-closer. We've adjusted the tension / pressure of the self-closer every possible way, and still the door basically slams shut for the final 18 inches of closure. For what is supposed to be a 'high-end' door, having your brand new $550+ screen door slam shut makes it feel cheap, and is jarring and noisy. Otherwise the fit/finish and quality are great, and the hardware works well.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very disappointed in the door and Anderson 4000SS Purchased a top of the line screen door on the home depot salesman advice, hardware and tax very expensive door. I bought the best because i didn't want any hassle. Very easy to install, but to my surprise the closer bangs the door shut for the last 8 inches when closing. After following adjust procedures, i contacted the the company. They stated that the door is tested many times, however it could be a defective part or an installation error, really, install fault how does that work, the door is complete. I tried to register the door, however, my serial number is not in the company's data base, really, so i sent the invoice and they say you are registered. So i procedure to the warranty department, 2 days later to submit a claim and they say the door is not registered. really. so I send all the chat files from the first person and invoices and they say again, you are registered for warranty. sure hope so. They say I am covered by the 90 day warranty and that the closer is warrantied for 5 years, i have the email confirming this. I receive the part and the closing device is located in the screen door and has to be dissembled i am guessing the door will have to be removed from frame as the closer is located in the top of the screen door enclosed by the door, looks to be couple hours work with a helper.There were Anderson door that were less expensive however, i wanted no problems. This was the door to buy, the best, i was told. This door did not work out of the box and now i need to repair a door that i paid triple what the lower end doors are worth. Would have been better off to purchase the entry level door? Do I have any options.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrific Storm Door These are designed very well for ease of installation. It takes longer than 45 min. on your first door. I also light that the top closure on the 4000 series accommodates older narrower door frames...this worked perfectly after minor adjustments.

We ended up having to hire someone and it took him 4 hours and he had to call the manufacturer. Also there is a long piece on the side of door that covers the screws that falls off constantly.

We like the the push to lock open which is convenient with full hands or dogs on leashes. The door is attractive with an unobstructed view to the outside.

The measurement for my storm door is W34 and H82 and 3/4.. Is this a standard door size

A 34 inch x 82 inch storm door is considered custom sized. If your current storm door is 3/4 inch thick too, you would need to consider our EMCO models since they are one inch thick. Does that measurement include the frame, I mean wall to wall, or is it just the measurement of the door?
