Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works great. Works great once you get the hang of it. Do not attempt half cuts of smaller then an inch. You will need a wet saw.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stopped cutting after 5 tiles It was amazing for about 5 tiles, but then the blade was so dull it wouldn’t score anymore and the tiles just broke. My tiles were very thin and smooth, so not anything tough to cut

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not buy this product Spend your money on a better product. I am a professional tiler, and I had to pick up a cutter because mine was out of commission. Cut quality, ability to line up tile, and overall sturdiness are extremely poor. One of my customers purchased the same product, and had the same, comments. I would not recommend this even for a small, weekend warrior type job. Spend up, or rent one.

Will this work on Ceramic Brick Joint Mosaic Tiles?

Asked by: Devon
I used this tile cutter on 4"x10" glazed wall tile on a kitchen back splash project recently. Worked but only for cutting off the length. Had to file the cut to get it perfectly straight. Not the best product but with some patience it did the job. If your not experienced might want to get a small wet saw and a diamond blade

Can this cutter be used on glass?

Asked by: Shay
I worked for glass. Although technically it can I wouldn't recommend it for that purpose. That would really lead to a poor cut that isn't ideal for glass. What you want to do is pick up a glass cutter which is a small pen tool. It's about 5-12 dollars in general including at home depot. Measure the glass from the edges of both top and bottom corners of the angle your going to cut. Put down a straight edge and make sure to clamp it down on the glass. Run the glass cutter along the glass and make sure its scoring or leaving a tiny little line along the way. Do this once or twice until you make sure you have a good score line alone the entire length of glass. Now make sure that the glass is supported well and tape the scoreline from the bottom of the glass using the small rounded end on the glass cutter. The glass should immediately crack down the score line and cleanly let go. To even this out we would also take some fine grit sandpaper on a rotary sander and run it in a slight angle along the edges to provide a clean edge that isn't sharp. Since most glass frames cover the edges you won't see them and that means it'll be safer to handle. Don't forget to wear rubberized gloves to protect yourself. Glass is always sharp and can easily cut through the toughest of skin.

Can this make 90-degree (interior) L-cuts in ceramic tiles (for a kitchen backsplash around electrical outlets for example)?
Asked by: SnazzyJazzy
Not in my experience. I tried scoring the tile with this, then used tile nippers to break pieces out, thinking that it would only break where I scored it, but it didn't work. I ended up buying a diamond cutting disc for my grinder, and that worked great.
