is Teflon tape required for either connection end? the larger one into dishwasher 3/4 has a washer but there are still metal threads exposed at the end which would go onto the plastic fitting on the dishwasher.

Hello, For the 3/8" elbow, thread seal tape on the threads of the connection to the dishwasher inlet is recommended. For the 3/4" hose end elbow, ensure that the washer is in its place.

Is the connector end an NPT standard? Is it 3/8" FIP? I need to connect it to a 3/8" soft copper pipe, and I bought a bunch of different NPT compression adapters but none of them seem to have the same threading (or exact diameter) that fits this hose.

Hello, The installation instructions for this kit are as follows: INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS 1. Connect to the Dishwasher: Locate the dishwasher's water supply inlet. Select the appropriate brass elbow from one of the two supplied and attach. • For the 3/8" elbow, thread seal tape on the threads of the connection to the dishwasher inlet is recommended • For the 3/4" hose end elbow, ensure that the washer is in its place. Connect the braided stainless steel hose to the brass elbow. Hand tighten and add another quarter turn. 2. Connect to the Water Supply: Locate the water supply valve or fitting. Connect the other end of the braided stainless steel hose. Hand tighten and add another quarter turn. 3. Check Connections: Slowly turn on the water and check for leaks. Operate the dishwasher and check for leaks. For use with water in accessible locations only. Do not expose to household cleaners or other corrosive chemicals. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN CONNECTIONS
