Rated 1 out of 5 by from aquasana clean machine The filter is top notch for removing PFAS as their testing shows which is the reason it was purchased. I have used it for a year consecutively and it now doesn't work. The past two weeks it started to get louder when filtering, which if you have one you know is already a loud operation. Water started to intermittently leak out of the filter housing for at least the last month but it wasn't a huge issue with a towel under it plus it would take some of the vibration from filtering water. This weekend the led indicator turned to a pink color and will not reset or operate at all. I have tried to use the online support through their website which was unresponsive.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Leaks like a sieve This unit works great, AT FIRST. The first time the filter gets changed though you will have a leakage problem. We have to keep a towel under the unit at all times and can't even use the pitcher on the unit because so much water leaks during the filtration process. I can't believe there hasn't been any recalls on this product with all the problems it has. I suppose when someone gets a good shock of electricity or a fire starts from all the water leakage then maybe something will get changed. Wouldn't take much to fix the problem and replace all the bad ones already sold

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Leaks from everywhere I have been using Aquasana for years and recommend the filters and systems to family and friends, however, this product is severely flawed. It leaks from the top of the system--both the case where the filter is located and at the faucet in front--at the bottom where the water is filtered, AND at the very bottom of the filter itself. The design is just completely wrong in every way. The pitcher itself is also NOT 1 gallon as the description notes (that's only for the dispenser type) and one has to be careful if it's filled to the top because there is no covering on the spout and it will spill if not picked up perfectly level. Don't buy until they address these multiple concerns.

There is a HUGE noticeable difference in taste and smell from my old Nyc apartment pipes than using a brita alone. I only wish they would not have changed the carafe's handle from a sleek white to a chunky bright blue color, after I had to order a ( very affordable!) replacement for mine after it being cracked due to clumsy mishandling over a couple of years with rowdy kids and guests. The all white carafe looked SO MUCH better, modern, sleek and complimented my other counter-top appliances. The old handle was easy to clean and never discolored, so not sure why the change- but not a very good one. Would I buy again despite aesthetic flaw- YES!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Effective an designed well It is not a new machine. I’ve had it for many years and still think it is a great water filter. I got on line today because it was starting and stopping and I couldn’t get a full pitcher. My dilemma was answered in the question section and it is working like a trooper again. I love the slim design because it fits so well on the counter top next to the refrigerator. I filter the water that is filtered already through the refrigerator and feel like I am getting a really good tasting glass of water. I also make my ice in a portable ice maker and there is never any “stuff” at the bottom of the glass from ice melt. I am a happy customer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from horrible! Avoid at all costs. I've had this one for a few years now. I've even had to request replacements from aquasana. The unit leaks horribly. It's so loud that you shouldn't use it at night or it might wake the neighbors. Also, the reset button that allows you to reset for a new filter broke on my replacement after a few months. Honestly, you would be better to get just a regular pitcher.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Unreliable When I initially purchased it it worked flawlessly. But after 2 months it just stopped working. I called customer support and was sent a new filter lid. Oh, not once, but twice. The operation was/is erratic. Sometimes it worked then not. I would fill the pitcher and sometimes have to wait up to an hour before it filtered. The filter change reminder light never worked. So I replaced the filter anyway. Now with a new filter, the red light stays on. Is this how it's supposed to work? Also would go on when ever with no water in pitcher. I have read into this product and it is obvious this is a faulty design with no fix or competent solution in sight, and should be reported to the Federal Trade Commission.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does nothing to remove desolved solids I bought two Clean Water Machines, one with a pitcher and another dispenser. I was pretty excited as they're both very handy. So that's the extent of the positives. When I measured total desolved solids, the reason I bought them, they don't do a thing. My water is pretty hard, TDS is 200-206 depending on the day. After filtering through these Clean Water Machines TDS drops to 196, almost no filtration at all. On top of that, these are very noisy. Looks like I threw my money away!

Does this pitcher increase the alkalinity of the water? I am looking for pH to be 8 or above.

Thank you for your inquiry. The Clean Water Machine will not alter the pH of your tap water. The pH value of water — which may range from 6.5 to 8.5 — is determined by the tap water's pH before it is filtered.
