Rated 5 out of 5 by from An impressive little camera - easy set up I was so surprised how easy this camera was to set up. It has probably got to be the easiest one yet. The camera offers audio which a lot of cameras don't offer that is actually quite clear. The night vision is however where this product shines. I've had security cameras in the past and the quality of the images inside this tiny beast is just outstanding. Then to have the option of coloured night vision... geeze it was more than I was expecting. The only issue I have is that it offers a free 3 month free trial then you have to pay if you want storage etc. I purchased it thinking that this was all included. However the basic subscription for 1 camera is less than $5/month which isn't too bad considering everything your getting for it. The camera also offers a button you can press that has a siren, but I am too afraid to push it not knowing how loud it is haha. Maybe I will take it in the forest one day to try it out. It really is a quality product easy to install with step by step instructions. Connects to wifi great, however needs to be relatively close to the house (or wifi dock) to receive a good enough signal for it to function properly. So if you're looking it to distribute it at the end of your driveway far from the house, it will not work unless you connect wifi boosters etc. If your looking for a simple camera to be close to your door than this does an excellent job. When it's ready to recharge, the app tells you the battery percentage of your camera so you can go out and charge it up (i use an external battery pack and lay it beside the camera until fully charged). Excellent product overall and highly recommend it.

Yes, you can view your live stream remotely via the Arlo Secure app as long as your Arlo Cameras are connected as well as you have a reliable internet connection. Yes, the Arlo Essential Spotlight can be used both indoors and outdoors. The spotlight can be disabled by accessing the camera settings on the Arlo Secure app. The Arlo Essential Spotlight is only compatible with a 2.4 GHz network.
