Rated 5 out of 5 by from Buy with Confidence I searched everywhere for glass doors that were 42" x 38". I called glass company's to get custom-made doors, which would of cost me $$$$ custom price and eat my entire project budget. These Avalux GS at home depot, the price was right, although I was a little reluctant to order, only because I couldn't find reviews and didn't know if they would be delivered in time. Please order with confidence, I'm so happy with these doors, the glass is thick, the frameless look is very modern. The only thing, I wish they had was the option to order without the glass shelves. I ended up installing the shower without shelves and just found some hole covers to seal up the pre-made holes found in the glass. Please view photos to see for yourself :)

The individual glass is extremely heavy and requires 2 people to install. The anchoring hardware was weak and I replaced the screws and plugs with higher quality/gauge material. Very good value for the money. Door handle only for exterior of door - I would have preferred a complete handle for the inside as well. Door only swings out which causes some moisture to drip off glass onto floor.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Leaks and no customer service I had this very expensive shower inclosure installed by a contractor. It leaks at the base on both sides of the door. We've both reviewed the instructions (which aren't great). It appears to be installed correctly. He contacted the company and they were not helpful, they just said to follow the instructions. I do NOT recommend this product!

No vidéo on youtube is avait available, and thé manuel is vers pour, If you have no ability or pattente dont buy this item ! Thé instruction are vers pour. You need to be able to do it bye yourself. At hé end I'M satisfaction with thé production but in thé same time bécasse of thé trouble during installation I' m desapoing

What shower base would match this one?

Choosing a base - like a tiled custom base or custom made acrylic pan, with low-profile curb or zero threshold flooring directly installed onto a to a finished, slip resistant water safe bathroom surface installed professionally is recommended. Aston does not recommend third party brands prefabricated bases, as we can not vouch for their dimensions or quality. Thank you!

Is there a pre-formed shower base that will fit this product?

Aston does not recommend using third-party brands' [pre-formed] shower bases with our frameless doors or enclosures, as we can not vouch for their exact dimensions and thus, guarantee a perfect, water-tight fit in such a case. We recommend installation of all Aston Frameless Showers, including the AVALUX Collection, onto a finished non-slip bathroom flooring surface, like tile or natural stone, in a low (curb) or zero-threshold manner. Please adhere to a licensed contractor's expertise with your own bathroom's specifics.

We had one installed recently. The hinges on the door have a space that will let water out. Is there a way to seal the hinges?

We recommend you contacting that contractor, who might be able to apply clear silicone caulk, use replacement washers or provide additional tightening and adjustment to your hinge hardware. Could this stall be installed on a Acrylic/fibreglass base?

Make sure you have the write drill bits to drill into the base and don't forget to use some anchors when using a acrylic/fiberglass base. Is there a base compatible with this set?

What size shower base would I use for this, I have a 42x34 RH/LH base It measures 42 -5/16 x 34. Is the size of the shower stall installed  less than 42x 34 to fit in a base with drip edges on the RH/LH sides or do I need a Right hand 42x34 base?

Hi Cese - thanks for your interest in Aston. Our measurements are accurate. We do not recommend prefabricated bases from other brands to be paired with our custom style luxury frameless enclosures, including the popular AVALUX GS Class. The main reason for this is we can not vouch for their design or specs, especially an existing base that's been previously used. Many times this issue will void warranties due to fault of the base design. Aston always recommends the professional advice, and installation from a licensed contractor or plumber, with at least two (2) adults taking part in the process. Most installations are with a custom tiled base with a low-profile curb or installed zero-threshold on a water-safe, slip resistant bathroom surface. Thank you!

whats a good compatible base for this unit

Hey Bob - thanks for your interest in Aston and the VANORA Completely Frameless Shower Enclosure Collection. With deciding what to install this beautiful shower enclosure with - you have options! You can choose a double threshold fiberglass reinforced tile ready or custom base with at least a 2-1/2 in. wide threshold on both sides. You can also install this onto a tile curb (with the same minimum threshold width) or directly to your bathroom's flooring for a zero threshold style. Do not use existing shower bases or prefabricated third party brand bases, as we typically can not vouch for their specs/engineering. Professional installation is required with at least two adults due to the heavy nature of the tempered glass and any adjustability processes. Do not DIY this yourself. Thank you!
