BUT there is an issue with the instructions as it is not explained that the fixed piece of glass is 72 ½” while the pivot door is only 72”. So it is easy to miss the importance of placing a ½” space under the pivot door. A simple sentence highlighting this difference and holding the instruction would help.

The glass shelves each measure about 8" x 9" each, and are required for a secure, complete install. Professional installation is highly recommended, with at least two adults taking part in the process. This is not a 'DIY' project for the vast majority of homeowners. Thank you!

How wide is the door (operating panel)?

Hi Grant - thank you for your interest in Aston and the BELMORE GS Frameless Shower Door Collection for your remodel. The tempered glass hinge panel for this specific model measures 32-5/8 in x 72 in and provides a walk through opening of 30-5/8 to 31-5/8 in width (depending on adjustability). Aston highly recommends, if not requires, professional installation with at least two adults in the process due to the heavy nature of the glass and adjustability process. Please do not DIY this unless you are experienced. Thank you!
