Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fabulous solid, functional shower doors These shower doors are beautiful and one of my favourite features of my new shower. I have the stainless steel and they are solid, functional and glide smoothly. My contractor installed mine and he had no issues. You will likely need to install the fixed pane on the side of your shower fixtures, as some water does splash out under the sliding pane. Delivery was smooth, but you may want some assistance as the box is very heavy. I had the doors delivered to a local store. They arrived within the time frame expected, and my contractor picked them up.

However it is really not designed to sit on a standard width shower base rim...the entire set up is too wide to sit on it properly. Unfortunately we did not realize this until after all the holes had been drilled and it was three quarters installed. We had to get a metal worker to make a stainless fitting that would sit out into the basin portion of the shower base in order to accommodate the width of the stacked doors. Even if we had put the glass on the very outer edge of the sill it would not have worked.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don’t buy The glass is beautiful and the product looks very nice. If your actually not using it . The problem is if you use this sliding door at the front where the faucet is the water will pool on tub frame and the little chrome strip. It does not run down into the bathtub. Also the doors have an inch gap between them with a plastic strip running down which is awkward to fit hand in to clean. I wish I never put these up and stayed with a shower curtain. They need to have a water deflector plastic rail for the bottom sliding door which would slide over the hinge to fix this problem. It may work better if the fixed glass was at the front of shower where faucet is instead of sliding door. Not sure. Still pools water on fixed glass too at tub. I would recommend a curtain or a glass enclosure with a hinged door

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Frameless Tub Shower Door This door is so beautiful and is exactly what we wanted. It was packaged carefully and came to us in perfect condition. It took 2 people to install this door, it cannot be done by yourself. It is way too heavy, but very durable. Definitely need some skill to put together and install. So if you're not a handy person, make sure to get professional installers. Definitely recommend buying it!!!

Hello, do both panels of glass slide? I need the one closest to the shower head to slide away.

Hi Happy - thank you for your interest in Aston for your bathroom. A bench is not included nor available with the CORALINE XL Frameless Sliding Shower Door Collection. The configuration of this model is one (1) fixed tempered glass panel and one (1) sliding tempered glass panel. If you wish to enter the shower on your shower head's side, simply choose the format that coincides. If you're looking at your shower alcove, and your shower head is on the left side, then you would want the left hand opening model. Same approach for right handed with right side shower head. Please note if you desire our Ultra-Bright Frosted Glass version, its reversible for either side opening. Professional installation is highly recommended, if not required, with at least two adults taking part in the process. This is not a 'DIY' project for the vast majority of homeowners. Thank you!

Will a 2x4 framed rough opening be sufficient for a 44-48" wide Coraline frameless sliding shower door? Cannot afford to lose inches in a small bathroom if 2x6" framing is required.

Whats important is that your finished tiled alcove walls' drilled holes are securely anchored with the [included] installation hardware. What threshold width is required for the door to fit the shower base?

For this, and any Aston frameless sliding shower model, we require a minimum 3-1/2 in. wide threshold. Your threshold/curb/edge should also be straight and level. Hi Forbez - thank you for your interest in Aston. Yes we make offer a 44-48" W CORALINE Completely Frameless Sliding Shower Enclosure in Frosted Glass with brushed stainless steel hardware. You would want to search for model: SEN984F-SS-48-10. However it is not currently offered with a pairing base. These luxury shower models pair best zero or low threshold (curb) with a finished water safe bathroom surface, like tile, natural stone or a custom fiberglass base. Aston does not recommend third party brand prefabricated shower bases with our frameless showers.

While a pairing base is not available with this collection you can choose pair this, or any Aston Frameless Shower Enclosure, with a custom specified acrylic/stone/tiled base, a tiled curb, or install it directly to the floor for a sleek zero-threshold design. We do not recommend you use a third party brand prefabricated base, or keep your existing base with our brand new frameless models - as we can not vouch for their specs or engineering.
