Overview

Model # BC001-48-WHT Store SKU # 1001392581

The easy slip-on baseboard heater cover that instantly rejuvenates ugly old, yet perfectly functional baseboard heaters. Baseboarders are the only one-size fits-most perforated steel baseboard heater covers that just slip over your existing baseboard heaters. Only the original front plate and end caps are removed/recycled. Installation takes a couple of minutes and does not require the use of tools or hired help. The one-piece design uses heavy-duty 22 gauge (0.033 inch thick) galvanized steel that stands up to years of physical and chemical abuse. The pristine semi-gloss white powder coated finish can also be painted with a color of your choice using a roller or spray can application for a custom look. Baseboarders are considered child safe for their complete lack of exposed sharp edges while blocking access to the heating element from the top. Baseboarders can also be installed in new construction environments or when the original covers have been completely removed and all that remains is the bare finned tube heating element.

  1. Slips over the original baseboard heater - just remove the existing front panel and end caps
  1. Galvanized steel with a powder coated semi-gloss white finish
  1. DIY installation, no tools, no hired help
  1. Available in all industry standard lengths (use multiple panels and a coupler for lengths longer than 6 ft.)
  1. Accessories such as end caps and inside corners are sold separately
  1. Made in Canada

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice reno addition Beautiful addition to our renovation. Removed the old fronts and deflectors and the new covers slip right onto the existing wall mounts updating the look of the water heaters. A little pricey but a great new look.

My current heater runs between a wall and bathtub against a tile wall. There are no end caps on either end. If I cut through the grout do you think it could be slipped behind? Other measurements seem ok but need five feet.

The lip of the panel comes down about 1/2" and must go between the back plate and the wall. If that is not an option, you will need to use the wall brackets (WB001) for installation into the tile wall. The wall brackets are 1-1/4" tall so this will raise the overall installation height 1-1/4".

Do you have ones 4"wide?
Asked by: Mch
For depths of more than 3", you will need to use a piece of wood moulding with the Baseboarders™ wall brackets to bring the panel out enough to cover the depth of your unit. Please see attached diagram.

Is this available in 2ft sections

Asked by: Mom
The longest panel available in the Basic style is 3 feet. You will need to order a 3' panel and cut to 2' if you want the Basic style. You might also consider the Premium style that offers a 2' panel.

is there a reason people want a small fortune per foot of any type of basboard cover are they made of gold? maybe gold plated

Asked by: jeremy
I know exactly what you mean, but these look so much better than the old ones that were in my house when I bought it. I ended up replacing about 100 ft. The former owners went a little overboard with the radiant heat! I went with the basic ones to save money. They now have the Elliptus style and I may have considered splurging on those because they look nice. I replaced my older covers over a period of about 2 years, so it wasn't so painful.

No, but we have had success with cutting it shorter with a dremel. The shortest length is 3 feet.

They look great and I wonder with the design being this open, did anyone notice a difference in heat in the room(s) ?

Asked by: dvb56
The perforations in the panel are for aesthetics rather than heat output. The cold air enters from the floor, is heated by the fins and the heated air then rises out the top.
