Rated 1 out of 5 by from Unable to wash out of brushes Like most primers, this dries very quickly when used on drywall and trim. However this also means it dries to the brush very quickly as well creating large globs of dried primer. It says it washes up with soap and water but this doesn't even come close to being true. Attempted to use paint thinner and a paint brush cleaner and it still doesn't work, it just gums it up and makes the brush unusable. I literally have to use a new brush each time and throw it out after. Not worth the extra expense!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Peels right off I bought this from home depot as they recommend it. We put it on our new drywall and let if cure for months while we worked on part of the house. When we came back tothe bathroom we were fixing the window and we scratched the paint which then came off in large sections. The bathroom is not in use. Pleasehelp!! we turned to Benjamin Moore fresh start and it works.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Behr interior primer I found this a great product to use. I was refinishing a kitchen table and I used 2 coat of this. It hides well and easy to paint with both a paint brush and a roller.

What is the best paint for my application?

I need a white paint to paint over previously painted shingles,It has latex on it now and was wondering about the primer and paint all in one if this would work on this application?
Asked by: Anonymous
Behr's Premium Plus Ultra can be applied over recommended substrate that is clean and in sound condition. Lightly scuff sanding the surface would be recommended if the substrate has a glossy finish.

Will this work on laminate kitchen cabinets?

Asked by: shemps
Hi shemps, thanks for writing in with your question. Unfortunately, our Kitchen, Bath and Trim Paint cannot be used directly on laminate. We recommend using the Bonding Primer first, as this primer is ideal for slick and tough to paint surface like laminate. Good luck with your project! -Giovanna https://www.homedepot.com/p/BEHR-1-gal-White-Bonding-Interior-Exterior-Primer-43201/309026803

Will this prime melamine for Latex Paint?

Asked by: Piper
Hi Piper, the Premium Plus All-In-One Primer & Sealer can be used on melamine surfaces. It's best to scuff sand the surface with medium grit sandpaper, clean, prime following label instructions, then top coat with either latex or oil-based paint. Good luck! -Takhari

Will be painting an interior bedroom that is light to medium blue in colour.  I plan to paint it light grey.  Several questions. 1) do I need to prime the walls first.  If yes, should the primer be tinted light grey.

Asked by: Dave
Hi Dave, Thanks for writing in with your question. Our interior paint and self-priming, the first coat will be your primer coat, and additional coats will build up the finish. A separate primer is not needed. You can also use our Marquee Interior Paint tinted to a 1-coat color to achiever coverage in one coat. Have a great day! Regards, Giovanna

Can this primer be used on oak kitchen cabinets ( not painted )? Also if I use TSP cleaner on the cabinets before application, do I need to wash it again with plain water before applying this primer?

Asked by: p555
Hi p555, thanks for writing in with your question. Yes, you can use the Premium Plus Primer, (No. 75) on oak cabinets. The TSP cleaner should be rinsed well, and the wood should dry completely before priming. Good luck with your project! -Giovanna

I am looking to paint over my current ceramic tiles and looking for the best primer to adhere to prep to receive paint. Would this be suitable?

Asked by: laurel
Hi laurel, thanks for writing in. If your ceramic tiles are glazed, we wouldn't recommend applying the Premium Plus All-In-One Primer & Sealer. But if they aren't glazed, it will be okay to use following label instructions for prep and application. Good luck! -Takhari

Hi there! Could I use this product on my living room hardwood floors before painting them? Or do I need to use a interior/exterior primer&sealer? Thanks

Asked by: Rivers1981
Hi Rivers1981, Thank you for your questions! Our All-In-One Primer & Sealer can be applied to interior hardwood floors. Once the primer dries for at least an hour, you can topcoat with the water or oil-based floor paint of your choice. Best wishes for your project! - Sara

Good afternoon. I am planning on painting my kids bedroom, and at the moment their walls are currently a periwinkle blue and a royal blue. Will this primer cover up the colour on their walls really well? If not what is a good primer to use?

Asked by: JordanMaystruk
Hi JordanMaystruk, Thank you for your question. Our All-In-One Primer and Sealer is a great primer to cover the previously painted surfaces, as it's high-hide white. However, it may not fully cover the previously coated surface, but it will still help with the coverage of the paint. I hope this was helpful. -Edith
