This self-leveling acrylic blend helps create a uniform topcoat sheen, so it is ideal for multiple surfaces including metal, vinyl, concrete and glossy surfaces. It blocks medium to heavy stains and is tintable to allow for dramatic color changes.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Unable to wash out of brushes Like most primers, this dries very quickly when used on drywall and trim. However this also means it dries to the brush very quickly as well creating large globs of dried primer. It says it washes up with soap and water but this doesn't even come close to being true. Attempted to use paint thinner and a paint brush cleaner and it still doesn't work, it just gums it up and makes the brush unusable. I literally have to use a new brush each time and throw it out after. Not worth the extra expense!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Will never use another behr product after this1 I bought this when renovating my bathroom after 2 coats of this primer I painted it with a very expensive paint after finishing I noticed a few small bubbles I waited for the paint to dry and tried sanding out the bubbles at this point it peeled right down to the old wall colour it was coming off in sheet don't waste your money or time on this product

When we came back tothe bathroom we were fixing the window and we scratched the paint which then came off in large sections. The bathroom is not in use. Pleasehelp!! we turned to Benjamin Moore fresh start and it works.

What is the best paint for my application?

I need a white paint to paint over previously painted shingles,It has latex on it now and was wondering about the primer and paint all in one if this would work on this application?

Behr's Premium Plus Ultra can be applied over recommended substrate that is clean and in sound condition. Lightly scuff sanding the surface would be recommended if the substrate has a glossy finish.

Beth premium plus all in one primer sealer #75 Wondering if I can use this product as a primer on sanded and cleaned on Varithaned old wood window built out.

Will this work on laminate kitchen cabinets?

We recommend using the Bonding Primer first, as this primer is ideal for slick and tough to paint surface like laminate. Will this prime melamine for Latex Paint?

Hi Piper, the Premium Plus All-In-One Primer & Sealer can be used on melamine surfaces. It's best to scuff sand the surface with medium grit sandpaper, clean, prime following label instructions, then top coat with either latex or oil-based paint. Good luck! -Takhari

Will be painting an interior bedroom that is light to medium blue in colour.  I plan to paint it light grey.  Several questions. 1) do I need to prime the walls first.  If yes, should the primer be tinted light grey.

Hi Dave, Thanks for writing in with your question. Our interior paint and self-priming, the first coat will be your primer coat, and additional coats will build up the finish. Can this primer be used on oak kitchen cabinets ( not painted )? Also if I use TSP cleaner on the cabinets before application, do I need to wash it again with plain water before applying this primer?

I am looking to paint over my current ceramic tiles and looking for the best primer to adhere to prep to receive paint. Would this be suitable?
