Rated 5 out of 5 by from Think OUTSIDE the PAINT I bought this in white the first time to do my fireplace in 1898 home. Staining that dark old brick was the best thing I ever did! I went a step further and decided to do the old foundation to in "Inviting Veranda" to match the Behr porch and floor paint. In addition I purchased two other Behr concrete stains to make a sporadic color to the smooth face concrete block. You never have to worry down the line about scraping when using stain. If you get tired of it you can change it easily. Loved my choices and decided to seal the outside foundation with a gloss sealer. I received many compliments from passerby's, other mason experts, and received a beautification award for my house from the city without even applying. People ask if that''s paint. My quick answer is "No. It's Behr Concrete Stain." [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stained Twice with Two Colors The original, Coronado stain was actually a certain Texas football team color. Instead of stripping, I ordered Dark Walnut and applied it as a third coat using the sponge off method. Achieved the acid stain look, and so far no issues due to my nonstandard application method. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Result (Applied on top of Behr Granite Grip) I applied this product yesterday on my concrete patio deck. This morning I checked out the project and it looks great especially in the sunlight. Used two coats, and due to the rough surface I needed to touch-up some spots with a brush. I applied this product over the Behr Granite Grip (applied last weekend) because there were many bare spots. The end result is a solid-color finish, yet the grains of the Granite Grip layer can still be felt, feels like a non-slip surface which is what I prefer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from In need I bought 10 gallons of this product this spring and summer to stain my concrete driveway and walkway. The product is easy to apply and I really like the product. I need 4 more gallons of the products, but Home Depot has discontinued carrying the product. While I like the product but can't recommend the product since it isn't available.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tennis court coating Just finished 1/2 of my tennis court I pressure washed the surface first removing dirt and cracked paint Then I applied 2 coats of green concrete stain The first coat soaked into the concrete and the second coat brought out the solid green that I was looking for As a licensed general contractor for the 30 plus years I have used Behr paint for all my custom spec and remodeling projects Thank you [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to put down I have a stamped concrete pool deck. Live in New England, every year I put on a new coat or touch up. Takes about 4 hours either early morning or late afternoon in May. Pretty easy to use, and an even finish. Every so often even change colors! Would recommend if you want to save money and DIY. Is this a real stain that penetrates the cement, or is it more like a paint? Example, if I were to take a pressure washer to stained cement, it would be very difficult to remove. In the same scenario, if it were paint, it would flake off! I need a Stain!

    Asked by: Rubicondust
Hi Rubincondust, thank you for your question. Our Solid Color Concrete Stain does penetrate your surface a bit to adhere to it. However, our solid stain forms a protective film on top of your surface as well, to help protect it. The film, with wear and weathering over time, has the potential to lift from our surface. We hope this information helps. Best of luck with your project. Have a great day. -Joanna

Can this concrete stain be used on brick? Is it better than concrete & brick paint?

    Asked by: Maddie
Hi Maddie, Thank you for your questions! Our Solid Color Concrete Stain can be used on both horizontal and vertical brick surfaces. Our solid stain has a slightly thinner consistency to our exterior paints, so you'll see the brick texture more. This product can also be driven on, so it offers extra benefits like abrasion, chemical, and hot tire resistance. Our Masonry, Stucco & Brick Paint will dry to a thicker film, it's self-priming, alkali resistant, and will last for up to 20 years on vertical surfaces (https://www.homedepot.ca/product/behr-behr-masonry-stucco-brick-paint-flat-deep-base-no-272-3-43-l/1000744200). Best wishes for your project - Sara

is this product applied using spray? One of associate in Home Depot told me stain in concrete will wash away, stain is only for wood, is this true for this product?

    Asked by: Rupal
Hi Rupal, Thanks for your questions! Our Solid Color Concrete Stain is ideal for concrete and masonry surfaces, and can be applied with an airless sprayer (with a .015"-.019" tip and 60 mesh filter). To ensure the best adhesion, we recommend etching bare concrete, scuff sanding previously coated surfaces, priming the bare concrete with our Concrete & Masonry Bonding Primer, then applying 1-2 coats of stain according to the recommended spread rate on the label. Best wishes for your project! - Sara

Can I use this to darken new concrete to match the old concreter?

    Asked by: choirsinger1
Hi choirsinger1, Thank you for your question. Our Solid Color Concrete Stain would be a great choice for your new concrete. Once the concrete has completely cured (we recommend waiting at least 30 days), it's best to etch the surface, apply our Concrete & Masonry Bonding Primer, then applying 1-2 coats of stain. Best - Sara
