Rated 1 out of 5 by from The Worst I spent an entire weekend sanding, priming and painting my previously varnished oak stairs. I applied two coats of primer then three coats of the Behr Premium Low-Lustre Enamel Porch & Patio Floor Paint and allowed 12-24hrs dry time between coats and the first vacuuming of the stairs scuffed and chipped down to the white primer, it looks awful and has to all be redone. Never again!

Can I use this to paint my  bathroom floor tile (glossy tile)?

We used it on our bathroom tile floor, they used to be glossy when I installed them but were dull after 7 years of use, you have to fill in all the seams first and any cracks with plastic wood then paint the floor, we painted 3 layers to make it rugged, it is a good solution until you can redo the entire floor or keep it if you like the results

Can this be used on a garage floor?

We used this on our patio to cover stains in the concrete, wondering if we can do the same for our garage floor (I've heard too many bad stories about the epoxy paint not sticking well). Thanks, Terry

The Solid Color Concrete Stain can go on a garage floor surface and adhere just fine once it has fully cured. I would like to mention that this stain works best when applied over Behr No. 880 Concrete Bonding Primer, as does the 1-Part Epoxy. These coatings are very durable once cured, but due to the large amount of friction that can be placed on them by cars or foot traffic, the Concrete Bonding Primer helps the top coat to adhere to the floor and decreases the likelihood that it will peel.

CLEANING CONCRETE WITH ACID WHAT MIX TO WATER

It is recommended to follow the manufactures application recommendations for best results. Behr recomments diluting the Behr Concrete & Masonry Cleaner/Etcher No. 991 1:1.

Can this paint be used over shellac-knot sealer? My point being the shellac brushes must be cleaned up with Varsol, whereas this product is water-based.

Hi Frontporchfixerupper, thanks for your question. Yes, our Porch & Patio Floor Paint can be applied over any primer. Primers are the exception to the water/oil rule and can typically be topcoated with either. If you're still unsure, I recommend reaching out to the manufacturer of your shellac primer to confirm if water-based paint can go over it. Good luck with your project! -Christina
