Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works well for me I painted wooden stairs, banister & spindles (inside). Was sure to use a base coat and allow ample drying time - I’m actually surprised how well it’s holding up. Sure the banister in certain parts needs the occasional re-coat, didn’t help moving furniture up the stairs etc. But all in all is holding up well - it’s been 3 years. Behr advised me to coat the banister with varnish, a step I omitted so I’s really on me, not the paint.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Only takes 4 coats for full coverage. If you want to spend time painting 3 to 4 coats, this is the paint for you! I was expecting the same coverage as their other products but no, it is watered down. I had to get a tinted primer elsewhere because Home Depot is not equipped to tint their own tinatble base primers. It is terrible.

Is this paint good on wood floor in a baby barn ?

We don't recommend using our products in kennels or other areas where animals are held because our coatings aren't designed to be safe for animals, which have different requirements than humans. Will this product adhere to a previously painted (properly prepared - washed and sanded) fiberglass porch surface?

Hi porchpaint. Thank you for writing in with your question. As it turns out, our products, including our Porch & Patio Floor Paint, aren't recommended for fiberglass surfaces subject to foot traffic. I'm sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. I suggest working with your local store for recommendations on a product that can be used on a previously painted fiberglass porch. How well will this paint adhere to wood coated with polyurethane? If so, what sandpaper grit should be used to prepare the surface?

Hi there, thank you for your question. Our Low-Lustre Porch & Patio Paint will adhere quite well to wood that has been coated with polyurethane so long as the surface is properly prepared. We recommend using 150-grit sandpaper to scuff sand any glossiness before making sure that the surface is clean and dry. Then, prime the wood with our Multi-Surface Primer before top coating. Can I use this to paint ny bathroom floor tile?
