Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor quality This paint is not appropriate for furniture. A store employee recommended it and I regret buying it. It is watery, and flows thin. I wait the pieces to dry many hours even up to a day and then rest it on the wall or an egg carton and it marks the finish so much more work than should be. It even rips the paint off the wall after 12 hrs or so. I'm in an apartment so don't have a proper space to lay every piece out. I've worked with enamel paints for trim and doors etc but this feels cheap. Also comes off too easy in between coats just easy sanding with fine grit will bare the edges.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible Bought this to paint a bedroom, it dries very uneven and patchy. It has taken a week of applying coats and drying and still it looks bad. I’ve done a lot of painting and have never seen this happen. We are on our 5 gallon and 5 or 6 coats and still can’t get an even coat. Really want to prime it and start over with different paint but don’t have the time or energy. So terrible.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Chunks and Stink I am thoroughly disgusted by the quality of the Behr Premium Plus Paint. It had chunks in it, and I constantly had to clean them off the wall as I was painting. It smelled like pig farm. Since Ontario stores are closed, I was not able to go back into the store to return the paint or to complain. It was rather urgent to complete this project since it was a bathroom and we needed access to it. I had this paint tinted in the Home Depot store when I purchased it, should the person in the paint department not have seen that there were chunks and that the paint stank? Now I have chunks dried onto the walls and my whole house smells like pig farm. I have used Behr paints for many years for projects around my home, but never did I have such a bad experience.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Behr changed for the worse So got this paint to do my washroom with the blank canvas tint. So first coat good, and then as it dries the whole house starts to smell like old cheese/puke. This smell lingers like this for days. Then you realize you need 3-4 coats of this paint to cover as the coverage is very poor. I wouldn't use it again, try the more premium Behr paint or go with a different brand. Disappointed as Behr was my go to. If you use this be prepared for the smell. If it wasn't for the rotting egg smell I would go as far as 3.5 stars.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not excellent in anything Good, not great....Sherwin Williams and Benjamin Moore paints will give you better results, but this Behr paint is more economical way to finish your painting project ( at least based on the price you pay for the can)?! It is NOT a very good primer....you should prime coat before anyways!! DO NOT GET confused by the word 'SATIN' here, it is quite shiny surface when all done. It reflects much more light than EGGSHELL, which can be good or bad, depending what you are after when it comes to final results....

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not happy, will not be buying Behr paint again Bought this paint to re-do our house. I have painted professionally and am using high quality tools, as directed by the manufacturer. After three coats, the paint has still does not have good coverage, and there are shadow marks from the roller all over. It was not a significant change in shade. I have spoken to a few other experienced painters who have had similar issues with this paint. I will NEVER buy behr paint again and will not recommend it to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Covers anything and everything We have pledged to only use the BEHR products from now on in our home. It's easy to work with and to clean up. The color is outstanding and pure. It took us one application to cover a red wall! I like it so much that I have used it in almost every room and will continue to use it. The satin is perfect for a child's room, and the color choice is amazing. I have used the flat paint. It is very durable. It's a great price for an excellent product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not impressed I have done a lot of painting. While I have been happy with Behr flat latex paints and recommend them this enamel paint was disappointing. I found that the flow out was terrible and had brush and lap marks all over especially on vertical surfaces. Plan B. I painted the remaining door casings in a horizontal position before installing them. It was better. However it was laid on heavy to get satisfactory results. When I tried this technique on the vertical planes I was getting runs and when I tried to brush them out it looked worse. There’s little time to work with this paint. I know its latex and you shouldn’t over work it. When doing the ceiling in the bathroom I kept a wet leading edge and still had roller marks all over. Just couldn’t get it to flow or blend. Double checked the instructions on the can and was satisfied that was using the correct nylon brush.

Can I use this paint for baseboards and interior doors?

Asked by: Satin
Hi Satin - Thank you for your question. Our Premium Plus Interior Satin Enamel is a great option for baseboards and interior doors. We also recommend scuff sanding and priming your baseboards and doors with something like our Kitchen, Bath & Trim Primer if the surface is glossy to ensure a long-lasting finish. Best - Sara

I recently painted Ultra Pure White Interior Satin Enamel on Kitchen ceiling, and realize the paint sheen and reflection is not as pleasant. Need to check if I can just simply paint Behr flat (ultra pure white) on top of it?

Asked by: Tomc
Hi Tomc, Thank you for writing in. For best adhesion results, the satin paint should be scuff sanded before topcoating with a flat finish. I hope this information was helpful. Please feel free to reach out with any additional questions you may have. Best of luck with your project! ~Doris
