Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best paint in the market, saved me a lot of time Perfect paint in the market, better than BM. I painted the room in just one coat, no streak lines. Almost as good as flat print, maybe I have a hidden talent as a painter ( note: if you buy the i300 paint version which is $10 cheaper, you will need two coats. Been there.) Very rich and creamy colour, the paint rolled on nicely, not too thick, not too thin. Not a bit of dried paint on the roller. 400 sf coverage in one coat for a gallon is very accurate. The trick is to use the 1cm pile roller, remove lints with piece of tape, rinse in warm water, remove water by hands, and paper towel dry. A moist roller keeps the paint wet and flow easily.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Coverage is awful I'm a renovation contractor so I've done a lot of painting and used a lot of different brands. Unfortunately, this is by far the worst paint I've ever used for trim work. On average I need to apply 4-5 coats to obtain a respectable finish / coverage to avoid call back and frankly end up with a job I'm happy with. I used it before to paint pre-primed doors which was a fiasco. I accidentally bought it again to paint baseboards / trim work and I was reminded very quickly why I hated it the first time. I usually love using behr products and they generally cover well on walls, ceilings etc. But this stuff is extremely disappointing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super opaque and virtually odourless! I purchased this paint in Empress Teal and I was sure I was going to need 3 coats, as my walls were a light beige to start. I only needed 2 coats! I was amazed at the first coat because I painted another wall with another brand in purple and it needed, a minimum, 3 coats. I was also impressed with the lack of odour. Previous low-odour paints I have used still had a sharp smell, but my husband barely noticed a paint-like smell when he walked into the room. This is going to be my go-to paint from now on.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not recommend We bought this paint to redo a small bedroom. The previous paint was a creamy ivory color, off white and pale, so should have been easy to cover. When we opened the can, the paint seemed strangely thick and even a good amount of stirring didn't seem to fix that. Initially, it seemed to go fine on the walls. However, after two full coats with 3 hours of dry time in between each, it still has pretty terrible coverage. Using good quality brushes we did the corners and ended up with awful blotchy spots. I'll have to do a third coat, which may mean buying more paint because we're nearly out of the gallon I purchased (which should have been more than sufficient for the size of room - 11x7!). Do not recommend.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Chunky paint Last couple of times i have purchased the behr premium plus the paint was awful. paint was littered with chunks of unidentifiable chunks (see pictures). Have used it in the past with great results. First time these chunks appears was 2020, thought it might have been a one off, but purchased a day ago and chunks are there again. Just purchased the behr ultra scuff defense and it was chunk free. This is the last time I'll get the premium plus - maybe the plus is the chunks?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fairest White I love white!!! With Behr Interior Eggshell Enamel Paint, it looks super fresh and leaves a fairest clean white finish. It doesn't smell and dries quickly. I used it on my bathroom, stairway and mouldings. As a DIY kind of person, seeing good results is the best feeling ever.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Contaminated product-Don’t buy! Nothing against the paint, (the quality is great!), but since Behr changed their cans to plastic, each time I buy the product it has had chunks of paint in it. I think it’s coming from the lid after the product has sat for sometime. This is extremely frustrating and adds time to sand out the walls again and ultimately more cost to replace the wasted paint. This is the second project in as many years this has happened. Staff at the store admitted this is an ongoing problem. Unfortunately this will be the last time we purchase Behr products and will be going to Sherwin Williams from now on as they still use tin cans and can colour match our colours.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of money and time So I picked up a gallon of this paint based on the reviews, tinted to a pale, icy blue-ish white. I was painting over a very light beige and thought, oh this'll be pretty easy. Primer and paint in one, it's not like I'm painting over a dark colour. 2 coats later and it's STILL patchy. The coverage on this paint is just truly awful. I will never buy this again, I may has well have thrown $40 off my balcony. Which is surprising, based on all those super-positive reviews. Be warned, I suppose you can't believe everything you read online. I'll be taking my money elsewhere.

Can I use this paint and primer in one to pain my trim that was previously painted with what I think is oil paint? The trim has been cured for many, many years.

I want to paint kitchen cabinets. They are wood and looks glossy. (They’re old). How do I prep? And can I use just this paint or do i have to prime first with the kitchen and bath primer and sealer 75?

Asked by: Marilise
Hi Marilise, thank you for your question. We recommend cleaning and scuff sanding the cabinets to promote adhesion before painting. If the previous paint is oil-based, then using the No. 75 primer is needed. Good luck with your project! -Giovanna

Would this be okay to use as a primer to a new wallpaper application?

Asked by: JonX
Hi JonX - Thank you for your question. We don't recommend using this product as a base coat or as wallpaper sizing before applying your new wallpaper. Because our Premium Plus Interior Semi-Gloss Enamel hasn't been tested for this kind of use, the outcome would be experimental. We currently don't have another product we can recommend, but you may want to reach out to your local Home Depot for some suggestions on a similar product that would work. Best - Sara

How do we choose the color of the paint when we order online?

Asked by: Ruben
You might have to call your local Home Depot. We needed pure white so there was no tinted required during Covid

Can I use this paint for ceilings also?  Can I use it in a sprayer rented from you?

Asked by: Out of stock
Hi Wilvawynn, Thanks for writing in! Yes, you can apply Behr Premium Plus Interior Satin Enamel to ceilings with an airless sprayer (60 mesh filter/.015-.019 tip). Home Depot usually has some great rental options available. When using this paint (untinted) for condo builder-grade espresso brown kitchen cabinets, do I need to use a separate primer? The surfaces are very smooth but not glossy - probably some kind of particle board with a laminate on top. Is sanding necessary?

Asked by: Wallace802
Hi Wallace, thanks for the question. When painting over smooth surfaces such as laminate, we recommend priming first with our Bonding Primer. It's designed to adhere to hard smooth surfaces. When using the Bonding primer sanding isn't necessary. Have a great day! -Ronald

Can I use this paint on furniture? I have a dresser that was previously painted so I plan to sand it well but would this paint work on wood?

Asked by: lillah
Hi lillah - Thank you for your question. Our Premium Plus Interior Flat can be used on your wooden dresser. To ensure a long-lasting finish, we recommend scuff sanding the existing paint and making sure the surface is clean and dry before painting. If the current paint is oil-based, we recommend priming the surface with our Kitchen, Bath & Trim Primer beforehand as well (https://www.homedepot.ca/product/behr-premium-plus-kitchen-bath-trim-interior-stain-blocking-primer-sealer-75-3-79l/1000402543). Best of luck with your project! - Sara
