Rated 1 out of 5 by from It's still costing me money to fix! If you plan to put your own sweat and blood into your painting project, I would not buy this paint. If a painter prefers to use it, avoid that painting contractor. This paint, applied as directed, will cost you more money in the end. It does not cover in a single coat, it is not a viable paint and primer in one and it does not bond very well to any substraight. Even months after application, it nicks very easily and begins to peel off the wall like sheets of rubber. I have this issue on a repainted wall and on new walls in another room. Three different cans of paint in two different colors. Primer or no primer, this paint is still costing me money to fix. My bathroom is destroyed! The paint applied inconsistantly, streaky and it took over 3 coats of the dark burgandy/red color I chose to cover the tinted primer I applied. The primer bonded to the wall but the Behr paint didn't bond to the primer. All paint and primers are latex and did dry to the touch quickly. However, the Behr paint never did completely cure in that months later the paint was still rubbery and peeling. Home Depot replaced the paint asap but I have to remove the bathroom fixtured again, remove all the trim for clean-up and completely prime and paint the room again. I will not use the replacement can of paint. I will use another brand I have had great success with.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from waste of money This product is a joke. I used it and it covers the same as regular paint but instead of buying a primer that is much cheaper I had to purchase more of this product a premium price. I was very angry when I finished the job thinking it would be quicker and less expensive only to find out it took the same amount of time but cost me way more money.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from does not prime... We have used this product twice in the past 6 months in different rooms under different circumstances. In the first room, we were applying it to new drywall. The drywall was dusted thoroughly and we used two coats of the paint/primer. It seemed to go on well, however, it quickly became apparent that it did not want to stick to the wall. It has peeled off in large patches. The latest patch came off this afternoon as I was applying caulking (6 months after painting). A light adhesive masking tape which had been applied for ~5 minutes managed to remove a 6" patch of paint, leaving bare drywall exposed. The second time we used it was over a previously painted wall. We prepared the wall by washing with TSP and rinsing well. It took 3 coats to cover the previous colour. Overall, not happy with the performance based on the price we paid.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Furious!!! I have used regular Behr paints several times in the past and always had very good coverage with them. Rarely have I had to do more than 2 coats. We have just completed our basement and have brand new drywall that has not been primed yet and am painting Yellow. I have painted yellow in three other rooms in the past and am aware that it is often a difficult color to cover, however, using behr paints I have been able to do it in 2-3 coats. I asked at Home Depot if I should use a primer or if this product would work and cover as well and save myself a step, I was told that it would be completely covered in one, possibly two coats. In hind site, I would have saved myself a LOT of work and a LOT of money had I just painted with Primer in the first place because I have already done three coats and am now on my way back to the store to buy another two cans of paint at MINIMUM because I need at least another two coats on the walls. Had I done primer in the first place and bought the regular behr paints I have no doubt I would have been done in two to three coats INCLUDING the primer with no doubt in my mind. Don't waste your money, buy the regular behr paints. It is the same product, marked up in price!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Won't buy Behr again Bought this product as it contains both Primer and Paint in one. I am on my way back to the store to pick up more paint as I am on my forth coat to try and cover my wall. It comes out streaky and uneven. The coverage is horrible. I will be buying CIL instead. Upset I paid the price I did for this product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Buy the regular Behr paint Bought two pails of this to refinish my kitchen cabinets which are a light beige. Despite the claims that "one brush stroke is like two" being that it is primer and paint in one, I ended up needing three coats. I've used Behr to completely repaint the interior of my house over the past few years and using the regular satin or flat enamel I've only ever needed two coats, even when covering a dark colour with a lighter colour. My advice would be to save your money and buy the normal Behr paint instead of this primer and paint in one combo which just doesn't cut it.

can i use this "all-in-one" to paint my virgin garage cement walls?

Asked by: Anonymous
I have had disasterious results with this paint on interior walls with and without primer. Stay away. Use latex on concrete because it allows the concrete to breath. Sealing moisture in with a paint will only lead to peeling.

Using this paint over Oil Based Paint

Would I be able to use this paint over an oil based paint or would I have to do different prep work?
Asked by: Anonymous
Behr Premium Plus Ultra can be applied over an oil based coating, and this Premium Plus Ultra will adhere to this surface just fine. The ability of Premium Plus Ultra to adhere to an oil based surface is one of the many advantages of using Premium Plus Ultra, as it eliminates the need for a separate primer.

Can I use this on new drywall not primered

Is this paint good for application on new drywall not primed, will this paint act as primer and paint in 2 coats?
Asked by: Anonymous
Behr Premium Plus Ultra is a Paint and Primer in one, and can be applied directly to new drywall without the use of a separate primer. New drywall is a very porous surface, and may soak up the first coat of Premium Plus Ultra and make the finish appear non-uniform. This is normal, and so long as the second coat is applied evenly with a 3/8" nap roller and a wet-edge is maintained throughout the application, then the second coat should achieve a uniform coat when dry.

how many square feet does 1 gallon of Behr Satin paint and primer (all in one ) cover

Asked by: Anonymous
Behr No. 7750 Interior Satin Enamel Paint will cover between 250-400 square feet per gallon. The spread rate is determined by the texture and porosity of the surface it is applied to, because more porous or rough surfaces will require more paint before full coverage can be achieved.

can I paint white ceilng tiles? how many coats? Fast dry???

Asked by: Anonymous
You can paint ceiling tiles, but I would highly recommend contacting the tile manufacturer for recommendations. I would be hesitant to use any paint on the tiles, as they may absorb too much water from the paint and become soggy and be rendered unusable by the paint. They may require an oil based primer be used before painting, but I would refer to the manufacturer before applying any paint.

Behr’s Premium Plus Ultra paints can go over an existing finish if the surface is deglossed and clean.

Would this paint work on a ceiling without any prior prep?

Old house with popcorn ceilings. Would rather not have to make any pre-cleaning efforts before painting.
Asked by: Anonymous
Ultra will work on a ceiling, but since it is textured, a ½” nap roller would be the preferred tool. This will allow the roller to cover both the highs and lows that a textured ceiling has. The room should be ventilated during application, and the paint should be applied with a wet edge.
