Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to apply, good results I removed some old carpets in my porch and sun room, and used this paint to seal and weather-proof the original plywood that was underneath. It is easy to apply and clear when it dries (unless you coat it on too heavily - then it turns white). It is textured when dry and the non-slip aspect is great for the porch. I like how we can still see the original wood floors. The texture is a little rough, so I'd recommend it for spaces where shoes are worn.

I need to add something non-slip to my car hauler door/rear ramp to assist my vehicle in getting up the wooden ramp. Would this paint hold up to driving on to get my car up the ramp?

Asked by: Hivol73
Hi there, thanks for the question. We don't recommend using our Porch & Patio Floor Paint on surfaces that will be driven on. The only products that we have that can be driven on are for concrete only. I'd recommend checking with your local home improvement store for an appropriate product. Have a great day! -Ronald

We are looking to paint our front porch - it gets incredibly slippery in the winter and when it rains. What temperature should this be painted in? Also does it need a primer? And how many coats to be effective? Thanks!

Asked by: CBacon
Hi CBacon, thank you for your questions. We recommend applying our Textured Low-Lustre Enamel Porch & Patio Anti-Slip Floor Paint when temperatures are within 10 - 32C. The porch will need to be primed with our Multi-Surface Primer (No.436) if you're coating a wooden surface or our Concrete & Masonry Bonding Primer (No.880) if you're working with concrete. After priming, apply two coats of the Porch & Patio Floor Paint following the recommended spread rate. Best of luck with your project! -Lina

Can this painted directly over an oil based paint that is on an outdoor covered porch?

Asked by: Bumperstumper
Hi Bumperstumper - Thanks for your question! This paint can be applied directly on top of oil-based paint in good condition. To ensure the best results, we recommend scuff sanding the oil-based paint, cleaning the surface and allowing the area to dry before applying your new paint. Best wishes for your project! - Sara
