Rated 1 out of 5 by from Behr you disappoint Have always used Behr Paint. Enjoy doing little home / craft projects. Just used Behr Chalk Decorative Paint in Red Pepper for my kitchen table and 4 chairs. Paint was easy to use and clean up. Let the paint dry for 4 hours then applied Behr decorative finish wax. I let the wax sit for 12 hours then buffed it with a lint free rag. Table and chairs looked great. 48 hours later I had to wipe a spot on the table with a damp rag and all the black from the wax wiped off. With just a damp rag and a light wiping all the black comes off. Made a huge mess and now I have to refinish the table or buy a new product. Will not be using Behr wax ever again

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Clear wax Leaves a white residue I bought the clear wax to go on top of a dresser I'm refinishing. I painted in Behr charcoal chalk paint. After two layers dried I started the wax top coat process. As recommended I applied to the entire piece and let it dry before buffing. The wax turned white when it dried and now my project has been drastically altered. Even after buffing the white remains. Not sure if the Tim was mixed up in production but it clearly says clear wax. Very disappointed in this product. Will be sticking with other brands I've tried in the future. Do not recommend for dark colours. Wish I didn't spend money on this.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Buyer Beware, Black is grey I see the comment from the other person that said this is gray, not black, unfortunately I sought after I finished my project. I bought the clear wax, and I found that it left white marks in the areas with uneven surfaces, which was disappointing. Now I understand I have to go and re-purchase the block wax for another $35 to make the gray look black, when I thought it was going to be black in the first place. I also see streak marks after a second Coat and I’m not sure what I could’ve done to avoid these.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Kitchen cabinets I painted my kitchen cabinets with Behr Chaulk paint and then distressed them with the Black wax. They turned out beautiful. My only question now is . Why if you wipe them with a damp cloth to clean them off, it removes the wax? Does this mean I can't clean my cabinets ? Is there a top coat to put on to seal the wax so I can clean my cabinets?

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great look but needed more coats (This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I bought this to paint entire kitchen cabinets. Just finished the cabinets and going to work on the doors soon. Unfortunately it needed 3 coats. Home Depot said I should only need 1 maybe 2 coats and no primer was needed with our birch cabinets. We properly cleaned and sanded yet still needed more coats. Now have to go back to Home Depot to get more pain to finish the doors with the now expected 3 coats rather than 1 or 2. Would have considered primer but based on Behr’s Recommendations our birch wood shouldn’t need it. Great product but you will need 3 coats and even if you don’t have wood with tannins may need primer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The most unpleasant chalk paint I have ever used I wanted to paint my headboard and thought I would try the Behr chalk paint. In the past, I had used Annie Sloan, Martha Stewart and Rustoleum chalk paint with no problem. The Behr had issues from the very beginning. Firstly, it would not adhere properly. Not even after having lightly sanded the surface. We had to get a bonding primer for it to adhere. The Behr chalk paint is very thin and needs multiple layers. I had to do four layers to get good coverage. With other chalk paints I usually only need two coats. It does not apply or feel like standard chalk paint at all. I would not recommend or use again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Clumpy to brush on. Terrible finish. I bought this a few weeks ago and the results are terrible. I used two coats of Behr chalk paint and let it dry a few days. Then I applied the wax. It was clumpy and curdled. I tried buffing it in 15 mins and it didn’t work. My project is a mess and I don’t know how to fix it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from "Classic Noir" is Not Classic Black but Grey To start, the color "Classic Noir" is not classic black but in fact grey. Secondly, this paint is very unforgiving. You can see every brush stroke and roller mark once dried. We followed the instructions on the can and used the brush types recommended but that did not seem to make a difference. Very disappointed with the quality of this paint and the time we wasted using it.
