Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor coverage -- very disappointed I am also very particular about the paint I use and have been using another brand's Aura but it's very expensive. I'd heard Behr paint was great so I took a chance on it. The paint was thin and watery, and it took three coats -- over a gallon of paint -- to cover a 16 x 7 wall. By comparison, I bought one gallon of the other paint for the rest of the room -- roughly 25 x 20 -- and did two coats with 1/2 gallon (covered completely). The Behr paint/primer was a huge dissapointment and did not live up to its promise.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from More work, more money. I'm a long time Behr paint user and had no issues working with this paint, but I'm extremely disappointed in its coverage. I was painting over a very light blue and it took 4 coats! So the extra money I spent of scuff defense is going to cost me even more when the 5 gallon pail I bought won't even be enough to complete my second room. I've done these two rooms before and normally I would have lots left over. The end result looks fine and hopefully the scuff defense actually works over time - but next time its the regular Behr interior for me. Less money, less work and more coverage.

We washed and sanded the wall that was a very faint light grey color before applying we shaked the pain very well. After not 2, not 3, but 7 layers(!!!!)we can still see the previous colour underneath. 5 layers were needed on the ceiling that was already white. The paint looks fine at the moment we apply it but start running down the wall after sitting for 3 minutes no matter how thin the layer is. Oh and also Berh has a warranty that thier paint does not require primer but this color is not covered by the warranty

Rated 1 out of 5 by from CORSET colour one star I have used this type of paint many times with lots of success but the CORSET cream colour unfortunately did not cover at all. It took 3 coats to cover a light grey wall. My dad and grandpa are retired painters so they washed, sanded, patched, and let the paint dry appropriately—despite that the paint still wouldn’t cover. I’ve been very happy with the other colours that we used! Would have been way cheaper to prime and use a cheaper can of paint in the corset colour.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best paint I am very particular about the paint I use but my sister said to give this a try. I have to say it was the best quality paint I have ever used. I will be using this product from now on. The initial cost far outways the time saved. I only needed to do one coat of paint and I was done. I usually would need primer and a few coats of paint. I was done the job in no time. In the end it would have cost me triple of what it cost me to use this product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Flakes and chunks I bought 3 cans. All 3 cans had flakes and chunks. All cans were applied the same day of purchase stirred and mixed. Disappointing as I spent alot of time preparing the drywall. Spent lots of time picking the flakes off of the wall after rolling. Been a fan of Behr in the past but will seriously reconsider another paint on my next project.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from GARBAGE PAINT DO NOT USE THIS PAINT!!!!!!!!!! It is absolutely garbage paint. Way too watery, does not cover well. You must do two coats to cover another colour. Invest in good paint like Benjamin Moore, its $70 for a gallon but it's pretty much the best paint on the market and actually covers in one coat. Home Depot needs to carry a better line of paint. I will never buy paint from Home Depot again as long as they carry this cheap paint

How do I order a paint colour from the Marquee book online???? very frustrating as there are no instructions!

how much wall will a 3.43L jug of paint cover?

It depends on the quality of the paint. Generally you should always do two coats or even the best paints will to cover completely. Never buy cheap paint - you will regret it. One gallon of good quality paint should cover a small size room - like a kids bedroom - with two coats. Only if you are painting the same color (such as white over white) can you get by with just one coat.

If I have bathroom cupboards that have the melamine coating, do I need to put primer on before this coat of paint?

Hi Chelsea. Thanks for writing in with your question. Yes, before painting melamine surfaces in good condition, I recommend lightly scuff sanding the surface, cleaning it, letting it dry, and priming with something like our Kitchen, Bath & Trim Stain-Blocking Primer & Sealer No. 75.
