Rated 2 out of 5 by from Worked Well for the First Few Months Installed this in late October, last year. The whisper close hinge stopped working in January of this year. The hydraulic fluid inside the hinge leaked, leaving behind a mess. I think the seat and lid are too heavy for the hinges, with repeated daily use. We have since replaced this seat with another Beamis seat (all plastic), so hopefully this will not happen again.
