Rated 5 out of 5 by from A very handy portable torch! I bought this torch a while back to replace all the plumbing underneath my kitchen sink/dishwasher/garberator. It works great... if you use it properly. I saw another review that was saying that the internal striker doesn't work but it does... you have to make sure 3 things are happening 1) the bottle is in an upright position 2) you have the gas turned up all the way to the max 3) you light the hand held striker with the hose free and not bunched up. You need maximum gas flow for this thing to light all the time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Seems good, just wish I could rest it on the floor Seems good. Definitely love the maneuverability of the torch since it's not mounted directly on the canister. At first I thought I had the same ignition issue that another reviewer identified, but like someone else said, you just have to make sure the hose is straight and not coiled or bunched up. Safety wise, it's probably a good thing that it doesn't ignite *too* easily. The only gripe I have is that when the canister is in the holster, you can't take it off your belt and rest it on the floor - the holster's design makes it want to tip, especially if the hose it still connected. The holster is also not as convenient as you might think - when you put the torch away, the hose is so long and stiff that it sticks out all awkward and weird and will definitely snag if you're walking around. It's still better to have a holster than to not, but still, just be warned.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Product failed, Warranty / service inexistent. I bought the torch on the spring of 2022, and starting September it wouldn't work properly to regulate the flame. Now all I can get is a small flame which turns the tip red. Home depot doesn't offer any support or warranty, so I email the warranty department of the manufacture, but didn't got any response what so ever...

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Ignition issue. Also, not for walking around with. I am also experiencing the striker issue identified by other users. It only lights about 10% of the time (it's an average though - sometimes I click it 20 times and get nothing, sometimes I click it twice and it works by the second strike). It's incredibly frustrating. Apart from that, the hose concept is great for maneuverability and the hose length is good. I just wish I could rest the canister on the floor (it wants to tip over when its in the holster, especially with the hose attached). The hose also sticks out when the torch is in the holster, so the holster is not really designed for you to be walking around with (otherwise the hose will catch on stuff). It's just a convenient way to carry the gas can while you're standing still working. Overall, I'd say it's a great concept, but the design and actual construction could both be improved. That being said, I WOULD still buy it again/recommend it if the striker worked better.

Can I use propane with this torch?

The adapter fits only the small benzene cylinders. I think you can get the required fittings from Amazon to convert it. Need a good research.
