The ONLY problem we are having is when we try to carry it by the handle, often the canister comes right off the vacuum. Im wondering if this is a one off problem or a manufactures defective.

I have cleaned filters and reseated the canister multiple times and still nothing but the red light. I am disappointed in this product. I bought a Bissell many years ago for the cottage and love it, but this vacuum continually lets me down. It is only a few years old but I never get great suction with it and now nothing. I will not be buying a Bissell again. It also doesn't move very well and the base is just to wide to sit comfortably on stairs so that isn't helpful. I hate to say it, but this was a complete waste of money.

About two months after I got it the head was already worn out on both of them. I don't like the fact that the head for the hard floor does not work on lenoleum and that I have to constantly switch heads. We have dogs so we are constantly vacuuming a couple times a day and I suggest that if you have carpet this is not the vacuum for you it does not work well even on area rugs for removing dog hair or any other big pieces. the only thing that I like about this vacuum is the suction power but like I said the heads they ware out very fast. I have a cordless Bissell and I love it it works great but I also needed a cannister so when my cordless is charging I have another vacuum to use But I'm in a rut because this vacuum is not good and the warranty does not last long enough

Rated 4 out of 5 by Karen from Almost the perfect vacuum I would have given 5 stars if the on/off switch was on the handle and the attachments were not in such an awkward place. Everything else about the vacuum is good. Plenty of power, easy to empty container, 2 different floor nozzles, easy to grip handle which is great if you have arthritis in your hands. Because of my painful hands, I sometimes have to grip with both hands and the attachments and holder are in the way. I'm always knocking into them so will probably just remove them since I don't use them often.
