I was hesitant at first but, this vacuum works so much better than a professional job! I have had a professional cleaning done before and it didn't remove the stains half as well as this vacuum!!! Amazing!! I am shocked how easily it removed all the pet stains that I wasn't expecting it to remove completely.

I like to walk into a fresh smelling space so I try to maintain the carpet as much as I can. Vacuums aren't enough in my opinion. I love this machine, it keeps the water hot and really deep cleans. I also use it in my car. The one downside is it is loud!

I sent my husband to the grocery store to rent one, the ones you can rent overnight, but with Covid, the stores aren't renting them right now. We had just moved and I wanted to clean all of the carpets before we set up the furniture. The walls had been painted in our new place and I wanted everything to look fresh., so I decided to buy a carpet cleaner. I looked on line at various ones, and because I knew the Bissell name and because the Pro Heat was highly rated. The cleaner arrived two days later to my door - man, I love this online shopping). I vacuumed all of the carpets first - rather my husband did - with a good, strong vacuum, and then set up my new Bissell cleaner. To assemble it required a screwdriver to screw in four screws only, so it was ready to go quickly. It is a powerful machine that cleans deeply. I called my husband to come and see the carpets because I couldn't believe how good they looked! Nor did I realize just how dirty the carpets were until I emptied the dirty water. I have been raving about my new carpet cleaner and how easy it is to use. I love the fact that I didn't have to buy a whole lot of products. It came with a container of cleaner - it only uses about half a cup per cleaning. Rarely have I been as impressed with a product as I have this one.

I have done my stairs 3 times and it always seems to be streaky. I used it in my hallway on the weekend and found the same thing. I will try it again and I will try to move the machine slower and overlap sections more. I was surprised how dirty the water was. I have a dog that sheds a lot and a husband who walks in bare feet all the time so the dirt on the pale carpet is noticeable.

Does the upholstery attachment use the water/shampoo as well or is it only suction, like a regular vacuum?

It will always use water as it's not meant for dry vacuuming.
