Rated 5 out of 5 by from Happy with our purchase Ever since we purchased this house we’ve had an ugly damaged counter with an ugly contractor sink. Now our kitchen is something to be proud of.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love it Love it! Absolutely love my black granite sink. Gave it a four only because it is deeper than our last sink and leaning more to do dishes - sore back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A stunning addition to our kitchen We bought this sink model about 3 years ago to replace our aging stainless steel sink. I mounted it under the new granite counter top by placing a bead of silicone caulk on the top of the deck well back of the opening with a few coins embedded in the silcone to prevent it from all squeezing out. Then while a helper held the sink in place from above I slid large plywood cleats 6" deeper than the sink depth and screwed them to the cabinet sidewalls to hold the sink tight to the underside of the counter top. I also used All Round strapping to further support the sink from below. After the silicone set I finished the top side joint with a neat bead of black silicone caulk. This sink is much more durable than any stainless steel sink and after 3 years of use it still looked like new. 2 months ago we sold that house moved into a new house which brought me here to shop for the same Blanco sink to replace my cheapo stainless sink. I would highly recommend this sink for looks and durability.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Nice looking, but mediocre durability We installed this sink in the summer of 2015. It's a great looking sink, but it's very easy to scratch. You need to be careful about putting any metal pots, pans, and cutlery into the sink. If you do purchase this sink you will want to purchase two sink grids to protect the bottom surface of each bowl. The Blanco stainless steel grids are quite nice, but will set you back about $90 for each - almost 2/3 the cost of the sink! An alternative are plastic grids. The bottom of the Blanco grids are 1-1/2" above the base of the sink, which means you have to fill the sink quite a bit even to was a few dishes - a very poor design.

Where are the punch out holes located and how many are there?

Asked by: Winnie
Centre, and just one. This sink is awesome. My neighbour has had one for a number of years and it still looks great.

I have this sink in grey and installed it approximately 3-4 mos ago. The color appears to be either fading. We have very hard water & use a water softener, could this be the cause? Is there anything we can do to prevent this?

Asked by: Kristina
Thank you for contacting Blanco Canada. BLANCO SILGRANIT® sinks are cast in a single pouring, and so is coloured through completely. Normal household use does not cause any discernible changes in colour. The colour will not fade in direct sunlight as well. To restore the shine/luster I would recommend using mineral oil, it works very well. If you have any other questions please feel free to contact us directly at 1877-425-2626 or you can email us directly at info@blancocanada.com

I have this sink and it is installed as an under mount.  I would like to change it to a stainless sink.  Which Blanco sink should I buy that would fit the exact cut out in my granite? Thank you.

Asked by: Shaw02
Thank you for contacting BLANCO Canada. We do not have an exact match to change from a silgranit sink to a stainless steel sink, some modifications may be required.

How is the depth of the sink measured? Inside the bowl or outside?

Asked by: smokey
Hi, thank you for contacting BLANCO Canada. The depth of the bowl is measured from the deck/ top of bowl wall, (in most cases) to the deepest part of the bowl bottom, usually closest to the drain opening.

At the store, description said either drop-in or undermount installation, yet website here only says drop-in; which is correct?

Asked by: Anonymous
The store is correct, this sink is a drop in sink, but it can be undermounted. You would have to line the hole on the deck with the hole on your counter to mount your faucet. The website says drop in only, because there is a true undermount version of this sink. It is a special order and the part number is SOP284. Thank you for your interest in Blanco products. Have a great day!
