Snapping mechanism/design allows for easy adjustments without having to worry about the hinge arm detaching and door falling out of place. Works well with as many as 4-5 hinges installed on multi-panel cabinet door. Really satisfied with the product.

If you have euro style doors, and a 35 mm drill, you can make doors that open and close. 4 stars instead of 4 since the adjustments are not as good as some higher end ones. I recommend using this for laundry room/garage doors, get the good stuff for kitchens and bathrooms.

do they close smoothly or slam ?

They slam. Look for "soft closing" hinges if you want a smooth close.

Will these fit for 1 inch thick door? The door is thicker at the side due to a decorative trim on front.

I can't see that door thickness would be a problem. Weight may be a problem depending on door size. If the doors are heavy add another hinge in the middle of the door. (that's 3 hinges on one door.)
