The Bosch 1191VSRK Hammer Drill delivers outstanding performance-to-weight ratio. It is a 4.1 Lbs. hammer with a 7.0 Amp motor that produces 0-48,000 no-load blasts per minute and no-load drilling speed of 0-3,000 RPM. This drill supplies a 360° locking auxiliary handle with a built-in, quick-release depth gauge. This easy-to-handle drill has a dual-mode selector, which easily converts the tool from rotation-only to hammer-drill mode. This hammer drill works with Bosch PRO+GUARD dust system to help users move toward OSHA Silica Table 1 dust compliance.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't Buy - Common Switch Problem I original used the drill and it worked fine on a porch project. I used it 8 months later and the switch went bad. There are many reviews with the switch going bad . . . Bosch should perhaps have a recall so repairs are done free. I hope to find the receipt so I can get a replacement/repair.

Yes it has a case. That is one of the reasons I bought this hammer-drill. A case is a big plus for me.

Does this drill comes with bits?

Hi, I wonder if this drill comes with bits. Thank you!
Asked by: Benetton
No. You have to purchase bits separately. Make sure to get bits rated for the hammer action and also that fit the chuck.

How can I determine what year my hammer drill was made?

I have a model 0601 194 Hammer Drill I've owned since 2006 and it has been used about 2 hours. I plan to sell it.
Asked by: Bill
Thank you for your question. The first three digits of the nine digit serial number are the manufacture date code. Please contact our Product Specialists at 1-877-BOSCH-99 (1-877-267-2499) with the serial number and we will be happy to verify the date of manufacture.

Good for filled cinder block?

I need to make 1 x 10" hole and 1 x 8" hole through cement filled mason block. Don't want to rent a core drill and core bits (nearly $400 for a day). Will this tool be up for the task? I will likely drill 3/8" holes around the perimeter, then use a hammer.
Asked by: Carpot
Thank you for your question. The 1191VSRK would not work for your application. The maximum diameter hole that can be drilled into concrete is 5/8". We would recommend a rotary hammer like the 11255VSR for drilling 1 inch diameter holes: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Bosch-120-Volt-1-in-SDS-Plus-Corded-BullDog-Extreme-Rotary-Hammer-11255VSR/202080348

What's the \difference between a masonry bit and a hammerdrill bit?

Asked by: Bill
Nothing. They are both designed for concrete drilling. If used with wood you will dull the bit quickly, so use the masonry bit for concrete type application only.
