I I itislly purchased to cut through nails and lumber that was part of a fence I was removing. I also use it to cut larger tree limbs for a tree that needed trimming. Much more flexible than a corded saw.

Was able to get through 1/2 in rebar as well. Newer core batteries are nice to have with it. I have been happy with the entire 18v line.

I was so pleased with the 36 Volt Bosch Cordless Electric Drill and the batteries that came with it, I decided to purchase the 36 Volt Circular Saw. I have not used it that much but what I've used it for so far, I'm Impressed with it's power. The 36 Volt batteries that I already had are excellent. They last a long time and keep their charge when in storage for a long time also. I'm pleased with the design, including the angle adjustment. It is a light but powerful saw. The blade guard is a little cumbersome but not to the point that I would detract a star. I wish Bosch had a 36 Volt Finish Nailer. I'd buy it in a heartbeat. One minor negative is that the saw did not come with a case.

Is this tool compatible with 18v lithium ion batteries from new products as well?

The 1671B will work with all generations of our 36 volt Lithium batteries however not with our 18 volt Lithium batteries.
