I have a homemade smoker made from a 1955 refrigerator that works within electric oven element inside the smoker for direct heat and also with firewood, charcoal briquettes, wood chips and pellets with indirect heat in the side box. I made my finishing touches to my smoker with a Bradley Electric Smoke Generator attached to the side box. It is a fantastic addition for when I want to leave it and forget it. I’ll set the oven element to desired smoker temperature, turn on the Bradley, place the smoke briskets in the Bradley tube press start and walk away. The perfect blue smoke it produces gives all my meats the perfect amount of flavor!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from GREAT FEATURES AND IDEAL FOR SMOKING THIS UNIT IS GREAT AND THE BEST OUT THEIR. ONLY ONE DRAWBACK. AFTER YOU INSTALL THE FLANG PROVIDED TO THE SMOKER CASE AND THEN INSTALL THE SMOKE GENERATOR THROUGH THE FLAG HOLE, WHEN THE GENERATOR IS TURNED ON ABOUT 40-50% OF THE SMOKE ESCAPES TO THE OUTSIDE AIR. THEIR SHOULD BE A GASKET SEAL BETWEEN THE INSTALLED FLANGE AND THE INSTALLED GENERATOR.THIS IS A MAJOR PROBLEM !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent smoker! I used to spend lots of time trying to get the smoke just right. This thing gives constant smoke automatically. I can spend my time on other stuff, instead of looking at the smoke. The briquettes are made out of different woods, I used meskite and apple and they were great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great little smoke generator. I have wanted a "Bradley Smoker" for years but I couldn't bring myself to spend the $300 to $400 on one. But buying just the smoke generator separate has been a wise investment for me. It definetly puts out enough smoke for any d.i.y. Projects. The best advice I can give is that if you plan to smoke and cook with this device you "will" probably need a separate heat source (fire, electric burner, gas burner,or other)
