How does this thing go on?

Slide the sleeve and the flange over the exposed pex pipe, and push the sleeve into the wall far enough to give you room to crimp the pex pipe to your fitting (for example, a toilet valve). After crimping, slide the sleeve out of the wall cavity to cover the crimped connection. No fasteners are required, as the flange is a friction fit with the sleeve. The flange will hold the sleeve in place between the wall and the crimped connection.

Will this work with a cold expansion (propex) fitting?
