It took about 1 hour from box to working BBQ...minus some parts though ( thought about contacting HD but decided to fix it myself). I persevered and actually BBQ'd on it the same night and I was amazed at the amount of heat the thing produced. If there was anything that that disappointed me it was the fact that the grease dripping all gathered on the bottom of the unit and did not go in the can that I placed there to catch them. However overall it meets our needs and IF the warranty is any good we will have it for many years to come. negative

Its a broil mate so what can I say, but, that its an excellent well made BBQ at this price point for 2 to 4 people. The cook box is made out of aluminum and not pressed steel, and that alone will make it last longer. So far we have BBQ d chicken, hamburgs, hotdogs and steaks, all with excellent results. This BBQ is way better than the Magic Chef model that sells for the same price. I have used it previously and the Broil Mate one is much better in quality and with cooking various foods. I would highly recommend this for a family of 2 to 4. It doesn't take up much room, is easy on propane and doesn't take up much space.

So far I have made burgers, corn on the cob, both shucked and unshucked, roasted vegetables, and even a spatchcocked chicken, and all turned out absolutely splendidly. I had a bit of trouble adjusting the burners at the beginning, but I phoned Broil Mate and they were very helpful and also emailed me instructions immediately. (The trick, apparently, is to turn on the gas at the tank gradually, instead of all at once.)

However, from reading the reviews ahead of time I knew what I was getting into so I’m not disappointed…you get what you pay for and I knew I was paying little money and getting a “cheap” product. There were screws missing; the right burner burn way hotter than the left burner; the igniter snapped off easily when putting it together. Although I rated it as a two because it is so cheap, I am happy with it. It’s a bbq and it cooks my food. Once you figure out how to manipulate the difference temperatures of the burners, you’re good to go.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good value for the money We bought this bbq because we bought an expensive stainless steel one a few years ago and it was going to require replacement burners, heat shields, and grills after a few years use. This time I looked up who had the cheapest replacement parts. It was less expensive for us to buy this bbq and replacement parts in a few years than to buy the parts for our expensive brand name bbq. The bbq works ok, it doesn’t put out as much heat as a bigger one, but it’s ok for two people. Be careful with the plastic parts when putting the bbq together because if you aren’t assembling it correctly they are easy to break.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fiesta BBQ Great BBQ, we are looking at buying another one, we have had ours for 10+ years.The burner has been replaced, but the rest holds up really well.People have given it a poor rating, because of the pezo electric lighter, would you really expect somthing electrical that sits out 24/7 in the dampness to work for very long? Hard to find anything North American made for this price.

I have had mine for over 2 years now and it still works great except the starter which stopped working after 6 months, not a big deal as i just use a BBQ lighter. Very easy to assemble it took me less then hour.

Cooks everything perfectly. No rust after 6+ years. Only issue is the oil drip protector that has rusted out. Can't find replacement part so will have to buy a new grill, but not because it didn't perform. Certainly a AAA+ purchase for anyone on a budget. You won't be disappointed! Just noticed it is made in the USA ... no wonder the quality is so amazing! No worries with this purchase! Enjoy your summer!

What is the assembled length including side shelves? The description says 48" but another question that was answered mentioned 54".

How do install a drip tray? I don’t seem to have any attachment in order to install one.

Unfortunately, we had the same issue. Our bbq was missing 2 pieces when we were trying to assemble it. If you are able to upgrade to another model, I highly suggest it. This bbq has proven to be very cheap. We kept it as we rarely bbq so it does serve its purpose, but it is quite cheaply made. We ended up rigging up a pop can as a drip tray.

On the top casting there is only one hole drilled to accept the warming rack. Is this correct or is it a design/manufacture error. Cannot attach warming rack.

I do not have the warming rack installed as one of the hinges on the lid broke, however, there are two holes in my top casting, one on the left and one on the right.  Despite that, great little workhorse BBQ that does not use a lot of propane.
