Solid, good quality basinI bought and installed this in the basement as a sump pit. It's seems to be made of very tough plastic. There is a 4" hole cut out of the side which is for your drain pipe and it comes with a rubber grommet to keep the fit tight. There are two holes cut out of the top lid, one 2" for the water outlet, the other a bit smaller for the power cables. The hole for power cables comes with a rubber seal so that the cable(s) are held tight and the hole is sealed. There is also a drain hole on the side of the basin opening, which will be handy if your basement gets flooded by some other source (eg. the water heater). The drain is threaded but it doesn't come with a lid unfortunately, so I'll have to find something to fit it.
There is one point about this basin that I want to mention to save other DIY people headaches. A lot of other basins are shaped with wavy sides and I didn't quite understand why this was until I installed this one. If your basement floor is close to the water table, then your basin will be sitting in water and be pushed upwards by buoyancy. I didn't think of this earlier, so my basin popped out of the hole before I got the chance to lay the concrete around it - pretty annoying since I was tired of digging and now had to shovel out all the fresh gravel I just put down. The second time round I weighed it down before pouring the concrete. The basins with wavy sides wont have this problem because the gravel you pour around it will be enough to hold it down.
Overall, very satisfied with this sewage basin.
Would this be suitable for a basement suite with a kitchen and 3pc bathroom? If so which pump would you suggest to use in it?

Yes, it is suitable. A sewage pump with a 2" discharge is required in this application.

I am looking to purchase the sewage basin can this be used as part grey water filtration system in

This basin is sealed and can be use for grey water in Ontario for sewage application. A vent line must be connected to you house venting system. However, since water filtration is not our niche, we are not aware of rules and regulations for this particular application.
