Heavy enough that you want enough hose to reach the car tires so you don't need to lug the compressor. Got a Cal Air Tool 25-ft hose. Packaging was fantastic -- double boxed so no damage.

I strapped it to a small dolly that I bought on sale at HF. This combo makes this a very portable setup for installing floor molding. I am 76 and not as strong as I once was. This is the perfect solution for me.

What the function of the red knob? What would tightening it and loosening it make in terms of the difference of output?

Asked by: Saul
I assume you are referring to the red ring around the black knob. Typically it would be a locking mechanism, but I just double checked on mine, and it literally serves no function. The black knob adjusts your regulated (hose outlet) pressure. You would unscrew the red ring, pull the black knob out, turn it CW or CCW and you will see the gauge pressure change up or down. Push the black knob in, and you'll find you can no longer turn the knob, so the pressure will stay at the last setting. On every other regulator I've ever used, the red locking ring could then be screwed down to prevent the black knob from being turned accidentally and changing the set point. As I mentioned, mine doesn't lock anything. Maybe mine is just broken, so try the procedure on yours and it might work, otherwise they may all just come from the factory that way on purpose.

What are the two pressure guages need for? What is the purpose of the second one?

Asked by: Saul
Tank pressure and regulated line pressure, if I remember right (no longer have the unit, which I can recommend).

I am looking for a compressor to flush my irrigation system this fall. Would this work? What else would I need to buy? I have both drip irrigation and pop ups sprinklers.
Asked by: CHeryl
I have a larger compressor for this purpose. I would think that this smaller unit wouldn't have the pressure to flush an extensive system with multiple pop-up sprinklers.
