The tank is convenient and serves the purpose, but it does not have the same fittings that are shown in the picture. It does not have a "T" with both male and female quick connects. It only has the female. I called Customer Service with the company to complain about this and they said they had received a call from another person (just 1?) about this same discrepancy and suggested that I complain to The Home Depot (as if it's their problem). They also said they would have someone with the company call me, but nobody has called.

Instead, it has a full size connector on one side and a small air fill fitting (would be used to fill it from an air hose) on the other. This makes it useless as a reserve tank which (according to the listing ) is supposed to be one of its uses. Returning it.

Called manufacturer and got a voice mail box. I'm hoping I get a call back and a new hose sent out as the chuck is permanent to the 4' hose. Also, awkward placement of gauge, and attachment.

can I use this tank to fill air into my pcp air rifle?

No! PCP air rifle use very high pressure in the range of 2,000psi to 3,000psi. This tank maxes out well before 150psi. You need a special scuba tank air compressor to to fill your gun or get a scuba tank and have a scuba shop fill it.

How many flat car tires will 5 gal air tank refill?

As CAT said, there is no good answer for this, as it's very much dependent on the size of the tire, the pressure of the tire versus pressure of the tank, etc. A ballpark answer would be "not many". An air tank isn't the most appropriate for what you may be wanting. Keep in mind that, at best, your tire can only be inflated to equilibrium pressure with the tank. A better option would be a pressurized CO2-based system because the energy density is so much higher.
