Ceilume Stratford white Feather-Light ceiling tiles (panels) are unlike any suspended (lay-in) ceiling tiles you have ever seen or felt. When you take them out of the box you will be immediately surprised by their lightness. Ceilume Stratford tiles are made from a very thin sheet of vinyl that is only 0.013 inch thick, the thickness of a business card. The inherent strength of vinyl, combined with the Stratford's simple geometric design, makes these ceiling panels solid, durable and easy to install. The Stratford white feather-light ceiling tiles are not at all like the old mineral fibre tiles you are used to seeing in commercial spaces. They don't generate dust or moisture and they don't harbour mould. Their white finish is bright, pure and easy to clean. Place them in your suspended ceiling grid (standard 1" or 15/16" T-bars) and you'll be thrilled by the way the Stratford ceiling tiles improve the look of your room.

  1. Each pack includes 12 recessed (pot) light supports for a quick and easy installation.
  1. Made from a rigid and durable 0.013 in thick white vinyl, these ceiling tiles/panels will not rust, stain, corrode or be affected by water or humidity.
  1. Resistant to mould, mildew and bacteria formation, and are fully recyclable.
  1. Each impact resistant ceiling tile measures 2 ft. x 4 ft. (actual size 23.75 in x 47.75 in) and covers a 8 sq. ft. area (for suspended ceilings only, these tiles cannot be glued up).
  1. Each box contains 30 individual tiles/panels that cover a 240 sq. ft. area. Single tiles not returnable - returns only accepted as original 40-pack.

what is the fire rating classification of these ceiling tiles?

Are these meant to be cut in half, to be used as a 2 ft x 2 ft tile? Or used as they come?

Stratford 2x4 ceiling tiles can be cut to size along the perimeter of walls where partial tiles are needed but are recommended for 2x4 grids. If your grid is 2x2, we suggest the 2x2 40pack that is also available on homedepot.ca

Do these tiles have any sound absorption? Are they acoustic tiles?

Ceilume Stratford Ceiling tiles do not have any significant acoustic properties. Most often, they are installed on their own however they can reface most existing acoustic tiles when available. Regardless of the ceiling tile you use, you can improve the acoustics of your room by installing acoustic wool between the joists or Ceilume Soniguard which is precut bats of hypoallergenic wool that sits on top of the tile. for more information, please do not hesitate to contact us at 888-544-0369

Can these tiles be used if I have 2 heating vents in the ceiling and a heating duct (enclosed in a box structure) along one side of the ceiling? Will the tiles warp if in contact with the heating vents and duct?

are these able to hold the weight of an led potlight? will they sag

The International Building Code states that the weight of all lights, speakers, HVAC grilles/registers, etc must be supported by the ceiling grid or the structure above. The ceiling tiles should not be used to support lights. Consult with the building pros at your local Home Depot store to find a light bracket that will work for LED pot lights.
